?マスコミ 利益/興味 was all on Kate Forbes yesterday as the former 閣僚 大臣 arrived at Holyrood

Speaking at Holyrood 24 hours after Mr Yousaf やめる as First 大臣 まっただ中に a (激しい)反発 for ダンピング the Greens out of 政府, Ms Forbes said: ‘I am 明白に still 重さを計るing up all my 選択s.?

I know there is a groundswell of support for me amongst the members. That was やめる (疑いを)晴らす in the last contest.

‘明確に I’ll be taking that into account and also trying to 評価する what is best for the country, for the party and for my family.’

候補者s have until May 6 to make their 告示s.

Ms Forbes said it was ‘still 早期に days’ but if she decides to enter the contest she could be up against former 副 First 大臣 John Swinney, who is also considering standing.?

She told Sky News that the party needs someone who can ‘部隊’ it, and Mr Swinney is a ‘much-loved and 井戸/弁護士席 尊敬(する)・点d’ MSP.

Seen as a ‘連続’ 候補者, Mr Swinney has the 支援 of Health 長官 Neil Gray, the SNP’s Westminster party leader Stephen Flynn and 副 leader Keith Brown.

Questioned on the 可能性のある challenge of 獲得するing big 指名する support, Ms Forbes said: ‘We have 明白に got a large party 会員の地位, several tens of thousands, and we are 民主主義者s.’

Ms Grahame defended Ms Forbes’s 声明s during the leadership (選挙などの)運動をする last year.

She said: ‘These are her personal 見解(をとる)s and she made plain that she would not 課す these on anybody. We’ve had a イスラム教徒 leader who didn’t 課す his values, we’ve had very, very strict practising カトリック教徒s, Michael Matheson, who was the health 長官, who didn’t 押し進める his values.

‘I don’t want 宗教 in this at all. It’s irrelevant.’

She said Mr Swinney would not get her 投票(する) because he ‘has been part of the 設立’ and that is no longer the 権利 path for the party, 追加するing that Ms Forbes ‘is vigorous, energetic, she is able and she is articulate, and she is certainly not 右翼’.

Mr Ewing and his MSP sister Annabelle Ewing have given Ms Forbes their 支援, and MSP Ivan McKee has 公然と said he will again be supporting her if she puts in a 企て,努力,提案 for the leadership.

Mr McKee said now is the time to ‘move on and get the 権利 person in place to move us 今後’. He said Mr Yousaf’s 辞職 (機の)カム after a difficult year and he ‘recognises himself that he wasn’t the 権利 person for the 職業’.

Mr McKee 追加するd: ‘The party this time needs to take its time to consider what the 選択s are very 本気で and look outside of the 泡, look at what the people of Scotland want to see, look at how we 勝利,勝つ 支援する 投票者s that we have lost, and other 投票者s who would support the SNP if we 申し込む/申し出 the 権利 見通し and a fresh 視野. It’s very important we get it 権利 this time.

‘I continue to believe that Kate Forbes is the 権利 person to reach out to that elect orate.’
