Mr Sunak said Lord Houchen's re-選挙 victory in Teesside was 証拠 of 'the Conser vatives 配達するing' as he 賞賛するd the Tory 市長's 記録，記録的な／記録する on attracting 職業s and 投資 to the area.
The 労働 Party 'threw 絶対 everything' at the 選挙 in Teesside but they 'couldn't dislodge Ben and the fantastic 保守的な team,' Mr Sunak said.

Lord Houchen was re-elected for the second time with?a 大多数 of 18,789, after getting 81,930 投票（する）s, 53.64 per cent of the total, ahead of 労働's?Chris McEwan.

Asked why he did not wear a rosette he said:?'I have done at previous 選挙s and the honest answer is I didn't have one and I forgot it. But I've got my blue socks on and my blue tie on...
'The idea that we are trying to pretend I'm not 保守的な, I mean people know 一連の会議、交渉／完成する here that I'm a 保守的な, but thankfully what we've seen today is they also know that I'm a Teessider, and I'll put Teesside first, I'll put 地元の people first and I'll do what's best for the 地元の area.'
Asked whether he could have borrowed a blue rosette from someone else, he said: 'No, we did rumble around in some 捕らえる、獲得するs and we were hoping to find one but we couldn't find one... we were too busy 焦点（を合わせる）d on the result.'?

He told Sky News: 'We 絶対 don't shy away from that at all, and Rishi's been up during the （選挙などの）運動をする and we have always said Rishi's been a 広大な／多数の／重要な friend to the people of Teesside, Darlington and Hartlepool.'
