A woman who developed sepsis and had all her fingers and thumbs 部分的に/不公平に amputated after was bitten by one of her her pet dogs is 告訴するing paramedics who advised her not to go to hospital - and instead stay at home and take paracetamol.

Michelle Ellis, 45, from Plymouth was bitten twice by her family dog on January 13, 2021 on her 権利 wrist and outer forearm.

Two days later she called an 救急車 after developing 'flu like symptoms' and paramedics …に出席するd her home.??

She was 教えるd to (土地などの)細長い一片 off, cover herself with a sheet, use a fan to keep her 気温 負かす/撃墜する and take some paracetamol to を取り引きする the 苦痛 she was experiencing.

But her 条件 悪化するd and the next day she was 急ぐd to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth where she 苦しむd multi-組織/臓器 失敗.?

She was put into an induced 昏睡, had to be resuscitated twice and was 診断するd with sepsis.

外科医s also had to carry out amputations on parts of all ten of her digits and she also had to を受ける an 緊急 tracheostomy enabling her to breathe.

Ms Ellis, a mother-of-four is taking 合法的な 活動/戦闘 against South Western 救急車 Service NHS 創立/基礎 信用 for 損害賠償金 of more than £200,000 主張するing the 怠慢,過失 of their paramedics led to these 複雑化s and has left her with life-long 影響s.

In a 合法的な 文書, it does not identify the 指名する or 産む/飼育する of the dog that bit Ms Ellis.

In the 文書 her lawyer argued: 'The claimant's (Ms Ellis) 傷害s were 原因(となる)d or materially 与える/捧げるd to by the 怠慢,過失 of the 被告 (SWASFT), its servants or スパイ/執行官s in the mismanagement of the Claimant's 治療.'

They 明言する/公表する: 'Each of the paramedics and other 臨床の staff 雇うd by the 被告 借りがあるd to the Claimant a 義務 of care in 尊敬(する)・点 of the 臨床の advice, 活動/戦闘s and 治療 供給するd by them. The 被告 is vicariously liable for any 違反 of such 義務.'

Ms Elli's lawyers also argue that when she was 結局 taken to hospital, her dog 示すs were 明白な and 記録,記録的な/記録するd in the 臨床の 公式文書,認めるs.

The 文書 持続するs: 'They must, therefore, have been 明白な when paramedics …に出席するd the Claimant between 23.08 on 15 January 2021 and 00.23h the に引き続いて day.'

In the 合法的な 文書, her lawyers argue that paramedics failed to take an 適する 医療の history when they …に出席するd Ms Ellis's home, 特に the fact that she had been bitten by her dog just days earlier.

Lawyers 主張する that they were also negligent in failing to carry out a proper examination, notice the presence of dog bites, mottling to Ms Ellis's 肌 and her raised heart 率 and temperatu re, which resulted in them not considering the 可能性 that she had 契約d sepsis.

They argue that if she had been taken to hospital on that day then she would have been 審査するd for the 条件 and 避けるd even more serious 医療の 複雑化s.

Her lawyers 明言する/公表する: 'The 被告's 違反s of 義務, and each of them, have therefore, 原因(となる)d or materially 与える/捧げるd to the Claimant exacerbation and 開発 of sepsis and its sequale, and have resulted in さもなければ avoidable amputations.'
