Cafe slammed over 'ridiculous' £4 price for two slices of toast 主張するs it is good value for fresh 地元で-baked bread and real salted butter

A seaside caf? slammed for '引き裂く off prices' after 非難する 顧客s £4 for toast has 攻撃する,衝突する 支援する by (人命などを)奪う,主張するing it is made with only the 'finest' 地元で-baked bread and salted butter.

Remo's, which overlooks Aberavon Beach, in Port Talbot, South むちの跡s, was criticised last week when they introduced a new menu with new, higher prices.

訪問者s branded the £4 cost for two slices of toast 'mad' and ridiculous,' with one 説: 'Wow 引き裂く off expensive prices ? this is Port Talbot lol.'

Port Talbot is の中で the most 奪うd areas in むちの跡s, with 普通の/平均(する) 週刊誌 収入s of £534 ? around £8 (or two lots of toast) いっそう少なく than the Welsh 普通の/平均(する).?

Aberavon 区, where the caf? is 位置を示すd, is の中で the 最高の,を越す 25 per cent most 奪うd in むちの跡s.?

But today 経営者/支配人 Tony Difrancesco explained 急に上がるing electricity, food and 行う 法案s had 軍隊d the caf?, which has been serving 顧客s on the sea 前線 for 20 years, to put up prices.

He (人命などを)奪う,主張するd £4 for two '手渡す 削減(する) doorstep slices of fresh bread from a 地元の パン屋 that have been toasted and buttered only with real salted butter' was value for money and people should 支払う/賃金 more for the sea 見解(をとる) and good service from their 'lovely staff'.

The owners were not putting up prices to 'get rich' but 辞退するd to 削減(する) corners and 妥協 on 質, he 追加するd.

'The building of Remo's was never a 計画(する) to make us all rich, it was always meant to be a place to be proud of, where people can come and enjoy the 見解(をとる)s over Aberavon Beach, and taste the passion that we put into our homemade ice cream, our Italian coffees, and the lovely meals that our talented chefs work very hard to produce,' Mr Difrancesco said.

'It is indeed £4 for two slices of toast (£2 for one); but we serve only 手渡す 削減(する) doorstep slices of fresh bread from a 地元の パン屋 that have been toasted and buttered only with real salted butter, and 配達するd to you by one of our 極端に lovely staff members.?

'This toast can be enjoyed while admiring the beautiful Aberavon beach. We definitely could 削減(する) costs if we 手配中の,お尋ね者, but we would have to 削減(する) 質, and that is something that Remo and his family are all unwilling to do.'

Mr Difrancesco also 追加するd that the 政府's 最近の 決定/判定勝ち(する) to 増加する the 最小限 行う had 衝撃d on the 商売/仕事, which 雇うs 50 staff, at a time when small 商売/仕事s were already grappling with rising food and energy costs.

The manager explained soaring electricity, food and wage bills had forced the caf?, which has been serving customers on the sea front for 20 years, to put up prices

A latte at the caf? now costs £4.10, a cup of tea £3.10 and a pint of lager £6.80, while an English breakfast costs £11.

'We never want to 増加する prices if we don't have to, but running a caf? is both expensive and 極端に difficult in today's 気候,' Mr Difrancesco 追加するd.

'There is a very 罰金 line between making a loss and turning a 利益(をあげる). We have recently seen the largest 増加する in cost of energy, 抱擁する 増加するs in the cost of food, 器具/備品, and 成分s, and this year the largest 選び出す/独身 増加する in 給料 there ever has been in the UK.

'This April saw a ten per cent 行う 増加する for over 21's, 15 per cent 増加する for 18-year-olds, 20 per cent 増加する for 16 and 17-year-olds, and the 除去 of the 24 and over 行う bracket, 増加するing the 量 of staff on the payroll receiving 最大限 支払う/賃金. In a 商売/仕事 where だいたい 40 per cent of turnover is used to 支払う/賃金 for our 50-加える staff members, it follows that we have to 増加する prices accordingly or 直面する making a loss.'

令状ing on Facebook, Nigel Harris was supportive of the caf?, 説 £4 was the 'going 率' for 地元の パン屋 doorstep toast in nearby Cardiff and Barry.

But others said the prices were 'scandalous.'

Andrew Chetwynd said: 'When no one turns up because of their exorbitant prices they won't be able to 支払う/賃金 the electricity 法案.'

Francesco 'フランス系カナダ人' DiFrancesco, father of Raymondo 'Remo' Difrancesco, started selling 半導体素子s and mushy peas from a beach hut to the fairground's 訪問者s way 支援する in 1967. Soon this 繁栄するd into a successful 商売/仕事.

His son took over the 商売/仕事 and in 1997 it was rebuilt 'bigger and better' and decided to 投資する all he had in the construction of Remo's using his own 製図/抽選s and building design. Cafe Remo's (Now just Remo's) was 完全にするd in 2005.
