Scotland's former first 大臣 Alex Salmond has （人命などを）奪う，主張するd Humza Yousaf was 妨げるd from 調印（する）ing a を取り引きする his new Alba party to keep his 首相の職 alive because of "軍隊s within his own party".

Mr Salmond told the BBC 無線で通信する 4's World at One that Mr Yousaf believed Alba's 提案s to move に向かって Scottish independence were "完全に reasonable" but that he wasn't in 支配（する）／統制する of his SNP party.

Speaking in London, Mr Swinney, who has been tipped as a possible leadership 競争相手, said:

The Scottish 政府 in the years ahead is going to have to find 協定 with people of other 説得／派閥s because you can’t pass a 予算 without a 大多数 in 議会, you can’t pass a 法律 without a 大多数 in 議会.

'And from the backbenches of the Scottish 議会, I will continue to 支持する／優勝者 the 権利s and 発言する／表明するs of those who are not often heard, be that at home, or indeed overseas, such as those 苦しむing and (who) continue to 苦しむ the most horrific 人道的な 大災害 in Gaza as the world watches on.

'Let me say to my SNP family, I will always be with you, I will always （選挙などの）運動をする と一緒に you. We have had 後退s in our movement but we have 打ち勝つ them and we will do so again.

'Independence feels frustratingly の近くに, and believe me no one, no one, feels that 失望／欲求不満 more than the leader of the SNP.

'But the last few miles of the マラソン are always the hardest and we have run this race as a team, and now I 準備する to pass the baton to a 後継者 whom I am 絶対 確かな will lead us over the finish line.

'And I will tell you, today, what I will say to that 後継者, 'first 大臣s get to 会合，会う countless inspirational people in communities across Scotland working to make life better for those around them.

''First 大臣s get to see first-手渡す many exciting 商売／仕事s and 産業s that will 力／強力にする Scotland's 未来 and, whenever First 大臣s 始める，決める foot beyond Scotland's shores, no 事柄 where they go, in Europe or across the world, they 遭遇（する） friends and admirers of our nation'.

'If only every person in Scotland could be afforded the 適切な時期 of 存在 first 大臣 for just one day.

'On that very next day, it's my belief that they would 投票（する） for independence with both their 長，率いる and their heart.

'To my fellow MSPs of all political 説得／派閥s, next week is a 決定的な milestone - we 示す 25 years of devolution.

Former 副 first 大臣 John Swinney has said he is '本気で considering' standing in the SNP leadership race に引き続いて Humze Yousaf's 辞職.

Keith Brown, MSP for Clacks and Dunblane, paid 尊敬の印 to Humza Yousaf's 'energy, ethusiasm and 正直さ' in a 地位，任命する on X as he 支援するd John Swinney to take over the leadership.

Ian Blackford, the former Westminster leader of the Scottish 国家の Party and MP for Ross, Skye and Lochaber, said John Swinney 'has what it takes' to lead the SNP.

Speaking to the BBC, he said: 'He certainly is an individual that I believe carries 普及した 尊敬（する）・点 in the party across the 議会, and indeed the country, a long experience.
