A fresh 殺到する of 思索的な buying carried 株 of Shire, Britain's third largest 麻薬s 製造者, 61?p higher to 1060p today as talk of a 引き継ぎ／買収 continued to gather pace.

A few weeks ago, Shire was seen 存在 的d by Pfizer, the US 麻薬s 巨大（な） that already has a large 製造業の 施設 at 挟む in deepest Kent. But 仲買人s point out Pfizer is looking to 削減（する） costs and has 輪郭（を描く）d a large number of 職業 losses across Europe.

Misys climbed 19?p to 161?p. The computer ソフトウェア group is 合併するing its healthcare 部隊 with Allscripts. To help 財政／金融 the 取引，協定, Misys has arranged a placing through Cazenove of 42.8m 株 at 175p, raising £75m. The company is also 上昇傾向 about prospects. Panmure Gordon has repeated its buy 率ing on Misys.

Credit Suisse has downgraded its 姿勢 on Cable & Wireless, up 3.4p at 144.5p, from outperform to 中立の while lowering its 的 price from 215p to 180p.
