One HSBC 顧客 told This is Money that a £61,000 移転 he authorised on 開始 the Isa was taken from his HSBC accounts and sent to a mysterious account he didn’t recognise.

Daniel Redmond* opened HSBC’s one-year Isa on 15 April and authorised HSBC to make a £20,000 移転 from his HSBC 経常収支 and £41,000 from an 存在するing Isa held with HSBC on the same day.

Just before 5pm on 17 A pril Daniel was 通知するd that the money had left his accounts. However, the money did not show up in the new one-year Isa.

Daniel could see on his 声明s that it had instead been sent to an 無名の account with a sort code and account number he had never seen.

He called HSBC, as he 設立する it 怪しげな that this had happened at the end of the working day and thought the unknown account 詳細(に述べる)s could 示す a scam.

He said: ‘At first HSBC were やめる dismissive, but when I told them the 量 they took more notice and said they would look into it.'

Daniel had to 持つ/拘留する on the phone for 20 minutes while a HSBC スパイ/執行官 looked into the account.

HSBC said: 'The opened accounts are 明白な internally and we can discuss the accounts with 顧客s in the usual ways. The 顧客's 直す/買収する,八百長をするd 率 cash Isa is accruing 利益/興味 at the 率 agreed at the time the 顧客 took the 製品.'

When the saver opened the account, he was told it could (問題を)取り上げる to five days for the account to be 正式に opened, and that the 移転 request would be part of that 過程.

He said: ‘The way I see it, it has now been six days without any 接近 to or oversight of my money.

‘I have banked with HSBC for over 15 years now and was keeping my accounts with the same provider with the hope that it would be 平易な and smooth to make 移転s.

‘I can’t see the one-year 直す/買収する,八百長をするd-率 account on my 動きやすい app or online banking at all. I only 設立する out the money I authorised for the Isa 移転 had been 孤立した from my accounts when I looked at my 声明 and saw that it had been sent to a 無作為の account I didn’t recognise.’

He was not told by HSBC when he will be able to see or 接近 his Isa.

He said: ‘They gave me the impression that they were not aware of this 問題/発行する at all and even thanked me for 通知するing them about it.’

One 顧客 said: ‘I opened a 直す/買収する,八百長をするd-率 Isa last week and £5,000 taken from my account to 基金 it. No 調印する of the account in my internet banking and 雑談(する)/telephone support from HSBC have been useless. Even telling me so much as you're not supposed to be able to see it.’

While another said: I opened a [HSBC] 直す/買収する,八百長をするd 率 account earlier this week but it isn’t showing on either internet banking or your iOS app.'

HSBC said on X: ‘Sorry, we are aware of an 問題/発行する with 顧客s not 存在 able to see their 直す/買収する,八百長をするd 率 Isas online, and our 専門家s are looking to get it 直す/買収する,八百長をするd as soon as possible.’

A HSBC spokesperson said: 'We are aware that some 顧客s who have recently opened a 直す/買収する,八百長をするd 率 Isa aren’t 現在/一般に able to see their newly opened account online. We are working hard to 直す/買収する,八百長をする this and we apologise for any inconvenience 原因(となる)d. All accounts are 存在 opened in line with 顧客 requests and the 顧客 is 収入 利益/興味 at the 率 agreed at the time they opened this Isa.?
