'荒廃させるd' Lindsay Hoyle 発表するs the death of his father Doug Hoyle, the former 労働 MP, as ありふれたs Leader says he is 'bereft' without his 'inspiration'

A '荒廃させるd' Sir Lindsay Hoyle today 発表するd the death of his father Doug Hoyle, the former 労働 MP, at the age of 98.

The ありふれたs (衆議院の)議長 said his father's death last night had left him 'bereft', as Sir Lindsay paid 尊敬の印 to 'my inspiration' and a 'truly 献身的な 議会人'.

Doug Hoyle first served as MP for Nelson and Colne, in Lancashire, between 1974 and 1979.

He then served as MP for Warrington between 1981 and 1997, before 存在 ennobled as Lord Hoyle and going on to sit in the House of Lords.

In a 声明 地位,任命するd on Twitter/X this morning, his son Sir Lindsay wrote:?'It is with 広大な/多数の/重要な 悲しみ that I have to 発表する that my beloved father, Lord Doug Hoyle, passed away 平和的に at home late last night with his family by his 味方する.

'The whole family are 荒廃させるd. There are few people who get to my age with their father still around ? but I have been one of the lucky ones.'

In a statement posted on Twitter/X this morning, Sir Lindsay wrote: 'I have lost my dad, my inspiration and the country has lost a truly dedicated parliamentarian'

'Doug was a 軍隊 to be reckoned with, first as MP for Nelson and Colne in 1974-1979, and then Warrington 1981-1997 ? before he joined the House of Lords where he served until the age of 97 when he retired in 2023.

Wayne David, the 労働 MP for Caerphilly, wrote: 'So sorry to hear this. Doug was a really 信頼できる and proud democratic 社会主義者, who I had the 特権 of knowing.'
