BORIS JOHNSON: Come on London! Time to kick out high-罪，犯罪, high-税金, do-nothing 市長 旅宿泊所
Imagine your elation at the news. It’s almost a week from now, 一連の会議、交渉／完成する about midnight on Friday, and the cameras are crossing to City Hall, London, where the 投票（する）s have finally been counted.
The 候補者s are lining up on 行う／開催する／段階, and you notice a wild-注目する，もくろむd look, as though they have just learned something they can’t やめる believe.
As the Returning Officer of the Greater London 当局 reads out the total 投票（する）s, there is a catch in her 発言する／表明する, the slight tremble of one who knows she is about to make history, and take the political world by 嵐／襲撃する. As she blurts it out, you give an involuntary yelp of startled ecstasy.
It’s 現実に happened! Londoners have 反抗するd the 半端物s and from across the 600 square miles of the greatest city on earth they have turned out to 投票（する） for ありふれた sense and 司法（官）. The doughnut has 反乱d. The 穴を開ける has stayed at home.
The people of the UK 資本／首都 have 投票（する）d to 立ち退かせる the high-罪，犯罪, high-税金, do-nothing 市長 旅宿泊所. They have 投票（する）d for an end to the 迫害 of 運転者s and the indulgence of knife-（権力などを）行使するing ギャング（個々）s.
You can do nothing with a 旅宿泊所’t-do spirit, says Boris Johnson, here going 長，率いる to 長，率いる with 市長 of London Sadiq 旅宿泊所 on the Elizabeth Line in 2022
They have canned 旅宿泊所 and put Sadiq a la poubelle. They have 反抗するd the pundits and 投票（する）d for the can-do pragmatism and work ethic of Susan Hall, the excellent former leader of Harrow 会議 and the 候補者 for ? the 保守的な Party!
You find your 注目する，もくろむs almost watering with joy, as you try to take in the 関わりあい／含蓄s. No more ULEZ ? a 計画（する） that was never ーするつもりであるd for outer London, and no more of the 悪意のある 支払う／賃金-per-mile 計画（する）, 旅宿泊所’s barely 隠すd 協議事項 to 課す road 非難する on anyone using so much as an インチ of London roadspace.
No more wokery from City Hall, a lefty finger-wagging culture so 普及（する） that the 旅宿泊所 mayoralty 同時に discourages 主要都市の Police Officers from stopping and searching for knives, while encouraging the police to tell a ユダヤ人の man ― as they did on film last week ― that he could not walk the King’s 主要道路 because his very 外見 might 原因（となる） offence.
And no more 旅宿泊所! No more of that mixture of cockiness and truculence, the endless mulish not-me-guvvery that has characterised his mayoralty.
You listen to the shock of the マスコミ, the funereal トン of some of the 放送者s, and you jump out of your 議長，司会を務める, and 急ぐ around the room, （警官の）巡回区域，受持ち区域ing your chest with exci tement.
A Tory victory in London! Is it possible? Could it 現実に happen? You may think it ありそうもない, when you look at the 投票s ― but then that is 正確に／まさに what 労働 wants you to think. 旅宿泊所’s whole 戦略 is to create a sense of inevitability, so that he glides to victory like a lump of driftwood on the 選挙（人）の tide.
He wants you to think he is unstoppable, and that there is no point in Londoners turning out to 投票（する） against him ― and that is 正確に／まさに where he is wrong.
I have never met a Londoner who was 活発に happy with the 旅宿泊所 Mayoralty, or an 投資家 who thought the 旅宿泊所 City Hall was doing a good 職業 in 支持する／優勝者ing the UK 資本／首都.
Today, to 裁判官 by the mood on the doorstep, there is hardly a 世帯 that 前向きに／確かに yearns for a third 旅宿泊所 称する，呼ぶ／期間／用語, and four more years of his grumpy indolence; and there are plenty of areas where he is about as popular as mumps.
So my answer is yes: you bet it can happen. An upset is always possible, because Londoners are both savvy and 水銀の. This 選挙 is always decided by differential turn-out. If enough Tories remember to 投票（する）, and enough 労働 投票者s are washing their hair, then 旅宿泊所 could indeed be about to get the biggest shock of his life ― and for a good and simple 推論する／理由.
In the annals of democratic politics I cannot think of an 現職の 候補者 who has been いっそう少なく deserving of re-選挙. On every 関連した metric, I believe 旅宿泊所 has failed, and has taken the city backwards.

We gave them 最高の，を越す cover to get on with their 職業s, and if necessary to 成し遂げる stop and search. We didn’t obsess about political correctness, and the result was that London became one of the safest big cities in the world.
As for 旅宿泊所, he has postured and sermonised and followed lefty nostrums about stop and search ― and the result seems to be that knife 罪，犯罪 is up, violent 罪，犯罪 is way, way up, and, as I have sadly 報告（する）／憶測d before in this column, there is a 見解（をとる） around the world that London is not now as 安全な as it once was.
And what does 旅宿泊所 do? He just tries to 非難する everyone else. It is pathetic.
I was a Tory 市長 under a 労働 政府 ― and I never once tried to 非難する Tony Blair or Gordon Brown for the problems of 罪，犯罪 in London. I knew that I had been elected to を取り引きする it ― so we took 責任／義務, and got on with it.
All you hear from Sadiq 旅宿泊所 is that he can’t do this or can’t do that. In fact he might 同様に change his 指名する from Sadiq 旅宿泊所 to Sadiq 旅宿泊所’t.

Above all we helped to 確実にする that London lengthened its lead as the greatest city on earth ― with the number one 財政上の and tech 部門 in Europe ― and the most popular tourist 目的地.
Life 見込み 増加するd for both men and women, and we levelled up the city, with the poorest boroughs getting richer the fastest.
Sadiq can’t 運動 投資 and growth because he se ems to have no 肯定的な 見通し for the city. What 広大な／多数の／重要な 事業／計画（する）s has he started, let alone finished?
Look at the enormous physical 遺産／遺物 of the eight 保守的な years, from Battersea to Greenwich, from Ealing to the Olympic Park, 経由で Crossrail, to say nothing of the buses, bikes, river crossings and heaven knows what else that we 任命する／導入するd.
We left 計画（する）s in place for Crossrail 2 and the 拡張 of the Bakerloo line. What has he 現実に done? Nothing. It is hard enough to create better 組織／基盤／下部構造 in today’s Britain ― but you can’t do anything if you have a 旅宿泊所’t-do spirit.
Sadiq 旅宿泊所 has no equal in the game of 非難するing other people. But a 市長 of London is there to exalt this 広大な／多数の／重要な city ― not moan about it. His 職業 is to take 責任／義務 ― not whinge that he can’t do a thing.
It’s time for change in London, for someone who can 元気づける people up and get things done, and that person is Susan Hall.
