Two months after the shock of his diagnosis comes the news the nation was praying for. King Charles is returning to public 義務s.

Buckingham Palace made the welcome 告示 because doctors are pleased with how his 治療 is 進歩ing.

This is a welcome 上げる for the 君主 himself and his 関心d family. But anyone with a compassionate bone in their 団体/死体 will feel a 抱擁する sense of 救済 and joy.

The touching new photo of Charles and Camilla looking happy and relaxed will 追加する to 楽観主義 that he is on the mend.

Of course, 補佐官s 強調する/ストレス that the King is not yet out of the 支持を得ようと努めるd. The 癌 is still 現在の, he is still receiving 治療.

King Charles pictured leaving the London Clinic in January after を受けるing 治療 for an 大きくするd prostate. News of his 癌 would come just days later?

Fortunately, His Majesty has 答える/応じるd so 前向きに/確かに to 医療の care that he can 再開する public 約束/交戦s. In light of his 戦う/戦い with the 病気, his 会合 with fellow 患者s at a 癌 hospital on Tuesday will be 特に poignant.

This is typical of the King’s 願望(する) to engage with his people. Since his mother’s death, he has shown himself to be a 献身的な, popular and worthy 後継者.

As with his prostate 治療, by bravely going public about his 癌, he has encouraged thousands to have themselves checked if anything seems amiss.

With the Princess of むちの跡s also 身を引くing from the 行う/開催する/段階 借りがあるing to the 病気, the 王室の Family has recently been without two of its most charismatic performers.

But 陳列する,発揮するing customary fortitude, the redoubtable Camilla has stepped up to the plate, dutifully 実行するing 義務s と一緒に other members of the 会社/堅い.

At a time when our political エリートs have never appeared so unprepossessing and incompetent, the last troubled couple of months have powerfully reminded us how important the 君主国 is to this country.

Familiar failings

There is something depressingly familiar about the failings of the 当局 to stop a knife-(権力などを)行使するing テロリスト stabbing to death three friends in a Readin g park.

After every 残虐(行為) there is a clamour for something to be done so 未来 出来事/事件s might be 妨げるd. The problem is, far too often the same mistakes are repeated.

Yes, いつかs 極端論者s go on a 殺人,大当り rampage which was impossible to 予報する.

But that wasn’t the 事例/患者 with Khairi Saadallah. A violent Islamist from Libya, he had been on MI5’s レーダ after arriving here.

にもかかわらず 存在 辞退するd 亡命, he was never 国外追放するd. He was referred to the 妨げる deradicalisation programme four times, had a long history of criminality and mental illness, and served time in 刑務所,拘置所. Finally, he 誇るd of jihad.

With appalling complacency, the 政治家 ice, 刑務所,拘置所 and health services failed to join the dots, leaving Saadallah 解放する/自由な to carry out his attack.

In a damning 判決, a 検死官 said the 殺人,大当りs were ‘avoidable’ if the 当局 had done their 職業s. The 犠牲者s and their families were catastrophically let 負かす/撃墜する.

But how many more times must the alarm be sounded? Tory MP Sir David Amess’s 殺害者 Ali Harbi Ali, Tube 爆撃機 Ahmed Hassan, London 橋(渡しをする) 攻撃者 Usman 旅宿泊所… all were known to the 明言する/公表する.

No one can 否定する the far-権利 提起する/ポーズをとるs a 危険. But Islamism is easily the greatest 脅し 直面するing Britain. Yet thousands of jihadists, foreign 犯罪のs and those 敵意を持った to our values 自由に walk our streets.

大臣s must の近くに the gap between rhetoric and reality when it comes to 強化するing the UK’s porous 国境s and 保護するing 法律-がまんするing 国民s.

The families of the Reading 犠牲者s deserve nothing いっそう少なく.
