What is franchising?

Franchising, 概して speaking, is a means of running a 商業の 操作/手術 using some or all 面s of another 商売/仕事, 含むing its 指名する, brand and 製品s.

In the past this has 含むd licensing 協定s, where you have the 権利s to sell a particular 製品 in a particular market, 配当 取引,協定s, which work on a 類似の basis, or some sort of 機関 協定 where you are running a part of a larger 商売/仕事.

More recently, however, franchising has come to mean the 認めるing of a licence to 貿易(する) under the same 指名する as the parent company and to use all or many of the 面s that made that 商売/仕事 後継する to enable your own 投機・賭ける to get off the ground.

Some of the most successful 商売/仕事s in the world, such as 支配's Pizza and McDonald's restaurants, operate on a franchised basis.

How franchises work

The person who 認めるs the licence is called a franchisor. The person who gets the licence to run a 商売/仕事 is called the franchisee. The 協定 means that the franchisee gets all the elements of the successful franchised 商売/仕事 necessary to 後継する. This 含むs everything from branding, 製品s, 供給(する)s, designs and even marketing and advertising support.

The support runs for the length of the franchise 協定 and this period is usually 始める,決める out at the beginning.

The franchisee agrees to 支払う/賃金 the franchisor for this 特権. Usually, but not always, this 量s to an upfront 支払い(額) 加える 行う/開催する/段階d 支払い(額)s so t hat they are 支払う/賃金ing as the 商売/仕事 develops. Some franchise 協定s 規定する that the franchisee must 支払う/賃金 more if the 商売/仕事 gets more successful, but いつかs it's just a 正規の/正選手 flat 料金.

プロの/賛成のs and 反対/詐欺s - a general 輪郭(を描く)

The most attractive 面 of franchising is that the 危険 is 限られた/立憲的な. The 商売/仕事 is not a new one but a tried and 実験(する)d 投機・賭ける that has 後継するd どこかよそで. This means you do not have to spend a lot of time telling people what the 商売/仕事 does because they already know.

The downside is that the franchisor will often try to dictate how you run the 商売/仕事. If you fancy 存在 your own boss and taking a lot of 決定/判定勝ち(する)s about how to manage things, you might find you have いっそう少なく freedom than you 心配する because the 合法的な 協定 (一定の)期間s out what you can and can't do.

For the 親族 safety and 保護 of a 信用d brand, there are 確かな sacrifices that you have to make.

The advantages, it has to be said, are 非常に/多数の. If your franchisor is a 全国的な 操作者, it may run 国家の advertising (選挙などの)運動をするs, perhaps even on TV, which for most small 商売/仕事s are 完全に unaffordable. You can plug into this 簡単に by virtue of 貿易(する)ing under the same 指名する.

You may, however, be 推定する/予想するd to 支払う/賃金 for some of this marketing activity. And you should be careful about what 正確に/まさに you are supposed to 支払う/賃金 for because the costs will 追加する up if you 港/避難所't planned for them.

Other advantages

1. 解放する/自由な training, 開発 for staff, other help to get the 商売/仕事 off the ground.

2. You can use the economies of 規模 that the franchisor has built up so you will find it cheaper to get 持つ/拘留する of 供給(する)s when you need them.

3. 顧客s are easier to find would be the 事例/患者 if you were starting from scratch - your brand is a known 量 and people may 信用 it more readily.

Other disadvantages

1. If you do very 井戸/弁護士席, you'll find yourself 支払う/賃金ing the franchisor more.

2. You don't really have 十分な 支配(する)/統制する over the 開発 of the 商売/仕事. You may be 限られた/立憲的な about what 昇進/宣伝s and advertising you can run.

3. The franchisor may 認める other franchises not far from you which you may think 影響する/感情s your 商売/仕事 (though this should be (一定の)期間d out in the 合法的な 協定).

4. There's no 保証(人) that the 商売/仕事 will work and you'll be as susceptible to 下降s in the market as if you were running your own 商売/仕事.

What does it cost to run a franchise?

It depends, as all franchises are different. 普通は, the franchisor 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金s an upfront 料金 together with other 現在進行中の costs, payable on a 正規の/正選手 basis. The franchisor will have an 義務 to support your 商売/仕事, through training and 行政, 本体,大部分/ばら積みの buying 割引s and some marketing and advertising.

Beware of dodgy franchisors, who advertise get-rich-quick 計画/陰謀s and 'work from home franchises'. These are mostly fraudulent scams, designed to part you from your cash.

As any franchisee will tell you, there is no short 削減(する) to 商売/仕事 success. There may be more certainty in running a franchise than there is starting your own, 初めの 商売/仕事 idea. But it's not a 保証(人) and even franchises 要求する a lot of hard work if they are to 後継する.
