Caught up in a love-triangle with a duchess and her husband, kicked out of Britain, Spain and Italy, she was nearly 殺人d on her wedding day and ended her days living off 王室の handouts.
It wasn't all beer and skittles 存在 Queen Ena of Spain.?
Born at Balmoral, she was the grand-daughter of Queen Victoria (the daughter of Princess Beatrice) and spent her happy childhood years at Kensington Palace.?
Later she'd be remembered as the 広大な／多数の／重要な-広大な／多数の／重要な grandmother of the 現在の King of Spain, Felipe VI - but only after a 騒然とした life which embraced haemophilia, the Spanish flu pandemic, the Spanish Civil War, and 追放する.

In other words, more than a bit naughty.
But 悲劇 stalked her footsteps. She 相続するd the '王室の 病気', haemophilia, through her grandmother Victoria, which she was to pass on to her sons once she married.
Nobody took account of that 可能性 when she was sized up by the 20-year old King Alfonso of Spain when he （機の）カム to London looking for a bride.?
Ena ? or Princess Victoria Eugenie as she'd been born ? caught his 注目する，もくろむ and within a short time the couple were engaged.
Later Ena would complain, 'the British hated me because I 変えるd to Catholicism; the Spanish hated me because I wasn't born a カトリック教徒'.
That turned out to be the least of her worries.

There followed five more births ? seven children in all in seven years ? 含むing one stillbirth, and whatever love the couple once had had long ago evaporated.

Alfonso took a string of lovers in 復讐 for her having brought the 天罰（を下す） of haemophilia into the Spanish 王室の house, and after 15 years of marriage, the couple parted.?
