'It's ツバメ Bashir and Phillip Schofield all over again!' How Huw Edwards has walked away from the BBC with a £4million 年金 - and STILL hasn't explained himself nine months after his スキャンダル

There was no word in the 声明 of what the 結果 might be of the BBC's 調査 into Huw's behaviour に引き続いて 主張s that he had solicited photographs from a young person ― and paid £35,000 for them.

That story broke in July last year. Soon after, the BBC's Newsnight said that it had 証拠 of 不適切な behaviour に向かって three other junior 従業員s.

But he has never 答える／応じるd. In September Dame Elan Closs Stephens, the 事実上の／代理 議長，司会を務める of the BBC, 示すd that the 調査 was under way but that it could not 結論する until they had spoke to Edwards ― and that would in itself have to wait for him to 完全にする any 治療 he might be having.

A number of 上級の broadcasting sources 示唆するd this week that the 声明 量s to nothing more than an 不十分な fig leaf for the embarrassed 会社／団体.

What's more, it is thought Edwards has a 'gigantic' 年金 マリファナ, said to stand at £4 million.

If you take into account his nine months spent collecting a 十分な salary, 加える that gold-plated 年金, then it's （疑いを）晴らす that although Edwards may be leaving under a cloud, he's got 十分な pockets.

There is evidently やめる a lot of ill-feeling about Edwards at the BBC. He was, perhaps, not as popular as his long career there might 示唆する.

Around the turn of the year, 隣人s of Edwards noticed that they didn't see him out walking the dog any more. He is understood to now be living in むちの跡s with his 年輩の mother, although this week he was 明らかに once again spotted at the family home in London.

Some believe that there are more 合法的な moves on the horizon and that we have not yet heard the last of the Edwards 事件／事情／状勢.

Former Newsnight presenter Emily Maitlis said: 'There w as very little of what you might call a sort of a 感謝する 調印する-off here. I think people are wondering why there wasn't sort of that one line of 尊敬の印 and asking whether that means there is still more at play 合法的に, whether this might still... go to 法廷，裁判所. I think there's a sense of perhaps unfinished 商売／仕事.'

That would be welcomed by the parents of the young person 伴う／関わるd, who complain that they are 'still 苦しむing'.

The young person's mother said: 'This isn't the end for us. We're also 苦しむing and have been immensely for nearly a year. We still have so many questions and need the BBC to answer them.'

Edwards' lawyers at Harbottles make no comment on that, or anything else. The Met Police say all 事柄s relating to the 初めの （民事の）告訴 have been の近くにd.

But it seems that the BBC's nightmare over Huw Edwards may not be over yet.
