Policing 大臣 Chris Philp wriggled today over his toe-curling Question Time 失敗 when he asked whether Rwanda and Congo are different countries.

On Thursday night an audience member pointed out there has been a long history of violent 衝突 between the 隣人ing countries.
He asked Mr Philp: 'Had my family members come from Goma (a city on the country's 国境) on a crossing 権利 now, would they then be sent 支援する to the country they are 恐らく warring ? Rwanda?
'Does that make any sense to you?'

Mr Philp replied: 'No, I think there's an 除外 on people from Rwanda 存在 sent to Rwanda.'
After the audience member 反対するd that his parents were 'not from Rwanda', the 保守的な MP appeared to ask: '井戸／弁護士席, I mean, Rwanda is a different country to Congo isn't it?
'It's a different country?'

However, speaking on the BBC's Sunday With Laura Kuenssberg this morning, Mr Philp 主張するd he had been 提起する／ポーズをとるing a rhetorical question.
'I was struggling a little bit to hear the question,' he said.
'When I put that point to him I was asking that as a 明確に rhetorical question rather than a 事実 question, as I think any fair-minded listener would 結論する.'
