JAN MOIR:?What do Charles and William think about the Spencers' very public embrace of Harry which could cast them in 冷淡な and unflattering light?

Just when it looked like the Sussexes didn't have a friend in London, just when it seemed as if Prince Harry would be shunned by his entire 延長するd family every time he (機の)カム to the UK ― a one-man pestilence to be 避けるd like a contagion, sidestepped like a puddle, dodged like a 弾丸 ― something remarkable happened. Enter the Spencers.

The late Princess of むちの跡s' younger brother Earl Spencer, 年上の sister Lady Jane Fellowes and other sundry family members 激しく揺するd up to support Prince Harry at his Invictus Games 周年記念日 service in St Paul's on Wednesday.

Ruddy of 直面する, 雪の降る,雪の多い of hair and 厚い of calf, the 年上の Spencers entered the cathedral like a shire 農業者 and his 一族/派閥 visiting a 郡 fair to give the sugar beets a good old squeeze.

And Prince Harry could not have been more delighted to see them. Inside the 広大な/多数の/重要な cathedral, in almost biblical scenes of redemption, he hugged the Spencers, he kissed them, he fell upon their necks like the return of the prodigal son.

Indeed, we 港/避難所't seen Harry looking so happy in public since he trundled 負かす/撃墜する the waterslide at Thorpe Park, all those years ago. Yet underneath the bucolic bonhomie and the cheerful smiles, a 雷鳴 of 前進するing hooves could be (悪事,秘密などを)発見するd, if you listened hard enough. For the Spencers were a cavalry galloping to the 救助(する).

One wonders what King Charles and Prince William might think about this high-profile intervention, which has the potential to cast them in a cold and unflattering light by comparison; the perennial bad cops to the Spencerian good cops, writes Jan Moir

One wonders what King Charles and Prince William might think about this high-profile 介入, which has the 可能性のある to cast them in a 冷淡な and unflattering light by comparison; the perennial bad 警官,(賞などを)獲得するs to the Spencerian good 警官,(賞などを)獲得するs, 令状s Jan Moir

And do you know what? I'm so very glad they were there for him. It's too sad to think of Harry 飛行機で行くing over here, fretfully offsetting his 炭素 足跡, clutching his little box of メダルs, thrumming his fingers on his 寺s, his 苦悩 levels rising as the dog-bowl 脅し and the road いっそう少なく travelled rise up to 会合,会う him yet again.

The Spencer support is perhaps the least we should 推定する/予想する from loving 親族s in a 複雑にするd family 状況/情勢. Like 配達するing balloons and gifts on birthdays or 元気づける on the dud 甥 making a pig's ear of playing a sheep in a nativity play; this is what uncles are there for, this is the code of the auntie road.

One wonders what King Charles and Prince William might think about this high-profile 介入, which has the 可能性のある to cast them in a 冷淡な and unflattering light by comparison; the perennial bad 警官,(賞などを)獲得するs to the Spencerian good 警官,(賞などを)獲得するs.

Yet who is snubbing who in these endless, exhausting 小競り合いs of transatlantic 王室の 無視する,冷たく断わるs and 非,不,無-speaks? The truth is that if his father and his brother won't see him nor support his pet 原因(となる)s when he visits London, then Prince Harry has only himself to 非難する. Who could ever 信用 him again?

That is one 推論する/理由 why I don't see th e Spencers as heroes here, but 平等に, neither as a 部隊 who want to 選ぶ a 味方する or a fight. After all, 存在 there for Harry is no sacrifice for them.

The Spencers don't have to 許す the Sussexes or 融通する their peeved intransigence or just seethe and suck it up. For Prince Harry has no beef with his Uncle Charles, nor has he ever hoisted his sauceboat of hot sulk to 注ぐ the usual grievance gravy over lovely Aunt Jane.

He hasn't (刑事)被告 either of them, or anyone in their 即座の family, of 存在 人種差別主義者s, いじめ(る)s, こそこそ動くs, liars and downright stinking rotters. He hasn't trashed them or betrayed them in 調書をとる/予約するs, podcasts or on television interviews watched by millions around the world. He hasn't 原因(となる)d reputational 損失 to their family, like he has どこかよそで, ahem.

He even thanked Earl Spencer and Lady Jane in the acknowledgments section of his autobiography, Spare ― an honour (許可,名誉などを)与えるd to 絶対 no one in his inner 血 circle.

So their support was nice, and so was the small, 元気づける (人が)群がる of blimps who turned up for him, too. Not everyone hates Prince Harry for smearing his family ― and by 拡張 the entire country ― as a 人種差別主義者 backwater 十分な of repressive thickos unable to see the bigger picture or wake up and smell the roses, like him and his sainted wife.

Speaking of which, such a shame that the Duchess of Sussex was not at Harry's 味方する this week, patting him like a puppy as per, 持つ/拘留するing his 手渡す, 株ing in the 薄暗い glow of this rare show of public 人気.

Certainly, it is not like Meghan to 行方不明になる a 十分な on, 最高の-swank 適切な時期 like this; she's usually all over Invictus 儀式s like a regimental mascot on parade. It brings out her inner 派手に宣伝する majorette, it gives her a sham regal sheen ― so why the unexplained absence?

Spencers or no Spencers, the Du chess hasn't got a proper excuse for 避けるing the UK this week and the truth is that she doesn't even need one any more. The cavalry has been and gone, the dust has settled and we all know where we stand.

Next stop, Nigeria. And I 簡単に cannot wait for that.

The 星/主役にする spangled speculum

Hey Kim Kardashian, are you on Ozempic? How I wish Barbra Streisand had been at the Met Ball, 追加するing a touch of boomer candour to this preposterous event.

Many of the she-celebrities couldn't walk in their silly gowns, others wore outfits that had いっそう少なく ニュース報道 than a five-denier fishnet pop sock with a 穴を開ける in the toe.

Kim Kardashian wore a steel corset that gave her a 19-inch waist and made her look like a speculum at the Met Ball on Monday

In fact, the entire event was an 演習 in ugliness. 非,不,無 uglier than 行方不明になる Kardashian, wearing a steel corset that gave her a 19-インチ waist and made her look like a speculum.

Trussed up like a silver sausage, Kimmy could barely walk and was finding it hard to breathe, but was taking a disgusting, weird pride in her 苦しむing.

いつかs it feels women have hardly 進歩d at all.

Oh Bambie, you are a little devil

The Eurovision Song Contest takes place this 週末. This entire Garrick Club fiasco is a 巨大(な) 演習 in virtue-signalling on all 味方するs. The women who 的d the claret-stained old ばか者s in the first place.?

Hallowed be thy Brand

Waist-深い in a river, a grown man is 存在 baptised, 配達するing himself into the 武器 of Jesus. その上の 石油精製, on the banks of that same river, a woman crosses the 床に打ち倒す of 議会, 配達するing herself into the 武器 of Keir Starmer.

It is not hard to draw a 平行の between Russell Brand's sudden 転換 to Christianity and Natalie Elphicke's defection to 労働. Both will undoubtedly produce a flock of raised eyebrows, snorts of derision and som e variation on the who-are-they-trying-to-kid 主題.

Elphicke has become a political joke, that's the end of her ― but if Brand were serious about his spiritual 洗浄するing, surely it would be a 私的な 事柄?

It can't have escaped his attention that there are many 利益s to be gleaned from a 肯定的な image change in the run-up to any 可能性のある 犯罪の 裁判,公判 ― but is he really a changed man?

'I love f***ing,' he once said in an interview. 'My house has a hot tub for damned good 推論する/理由s, and 非,不,無 of them spiritual.'

Maybe he should have got baptised in there instead?

Just a thought.

Pampered 抗議する人s on 不安定な ground

Hey, listen, how are the 17 Princeton hunger strikers getting along? Not very 井戸/弁護士席, I 嫌疑者,容疑者/疑う. O ne told reporters that she was 'literally shaking' because she is 餓死するing and 'immunocompromised'.

She went on to 告発する/非難する the エリート American university of purposely '肉体的に 弱めるing' her and her hunger-striking classmates.

'This is 絶対 不公平な ― we are 餓死するing. We are 肉体的に exhausted. I am やめる literally shaking 権利 now, as you can see,' she cried, 事実上の/代理 like she was a 囚人 of war instead a 解放する/自由な 国民 who had made a personal 決定/判定勝ち(する).

Surely only a bunch of freshly laundered scholars of high 特権 would think it apt to 餓死する themselves by choice to show 団結 to many thousands of people in Gaza who are 餓死するing for real.

The 抗議する人s are 辞退するing all food and drink, except water, until their Ivy League university 会合,会うs their 需要・要求するs, which 含む committing to an ominous sounding '十分な academic and cultural ボイコット(する) of イスラエル' and giving a '完全にする 恩赦,大赦' from 犯罪の and disciplinary 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金s to all student 抗議する人s.

Shouldn't 抗議するing students 受託する that there will be hardship, 刑罰,罰則s and consequences as a result of their 活動/戦闘s? And also 受託する ― I know this is a hard one ― that if you go on hunger strike there is a strong chance you will get hungry? As they whine on in their culturally appropriated keffiyehs, it is hard to take these clowns 本気で.
