REBECCA ENGLISH: What the charming picture 解放(する)d of Their Majesties says about Charles and Camilla

When it comes to 王室の portraits, nothing should be taken for 認めるd.

From the setting of the scene, to the jewellery and the 提起する/ポーズをとるs, very little is ever left to chance.

So what does the charming new image of Their Majesties 解放(する)d by Buckingham Palace?yesterday?to 示す the first 周年記念日 of the 載冠(式)/即位(式) next week tell us?

Taken by 主要な portrait photographer Millie Pilkington (a favourite of the Prince and Princess of むちの跡s and their children) earlier this month in the gardens of Buckingham Palace it radiates a sense of 静める and contentment - and, dare one say it - joy.

At first ちらりと見ること this most personal of pictures is sweetly reminiscent of the historic diamond wedding 周年記念日 portrait of the late Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, in 2007 at Broadlands in Hampshire, where the couple honeymooned 60 years earlier.

Charles and Camilla's picture was taken the morning after their 19th wedding 周年記念日.

Both her late Majesty and Queen Camilla have their 武器 lightly threaded through their husband's as they stroll in amongst the 青葉.

And both images 逮捕(する) the same sense of togetherness, couples who are happily comfortable in each other's company after many 10年間s of 平易な companionship.

There is one 著名な difference, however.

While 王室の portraits of old would always have shown the 君主's spouse gazing up at them, in this 事例/患者 it is the King who is looking adoringly に向かって his wife.

Queen Camilla, wearing a pretty indigo day dress with velvet 詳細(に述べる) by one of her favourite designers, Fiona Clare, and 冒険的な a collection of jewellery taken not from the palace 丸天井s but given to her by Charles 本人自身で over the years, is the one whose 注目する,もくろむs are 逮捕(する)d by the レンズ.

'I think it's 深く,強烈に 重要な that His Majesty is looking at his Queen rather than the other way around because she's the one who has been 前線 and centre [of the family] over the past few months,' one friend tells me.

'She has 設立する herself in a 役割 she never hungered for, but has taken on regardless because of the man she loves. Many would say she has 行為/行うd herself 極端に 井戸/弁護士席 in the most difficult of circumstances, and as a consequence of which the King is even more proud of her than ever.'?

Indeed, with her husband only able to 請け負う the 明らかにする 最小限 of public 約束/交戦s since January while under going and recuperating from his 外科 and 治療, and Prince William supporting his wife while she under takes her own 癌 治療, it has been Queen Camilla, 76, who has led the family from the 前線.

It is a turn of events that few would have 予報するd even ten or fifteen years ago.

And sources say they have led Her Majesty to plumb reserves even she might have once 疑問d she had.

That's not to say it has all been plain sailing, of course.

支援する in February I was told by 井戸/弁護士席-placed sources that Camilla was '深く,強烈に worried' about her husband - unsurprising given the fact that he had been 診断するd with a serious 病気.

And it is fair to say that while 一般に 十分な of energy and working hard behind the scenes, the King has 設立する himself 'under the 天候' on occasions given the nature of his 現在進行中の 治療.

That has been 堅い for his queen to see.

'Many's the day Her Majesty would have far preferred to stay at home with her husband. It's tricky for anyone whose partner is having 癌 治療. Your first and most natural instinct is to be 関心d for their health and not want to go out to work,' I am told.

'But that's 正確に/まさに what she has done, and with a smile on her 直面する, in a very public way.'

Indeed, even her closest friends are still lost in 賞賛 for her courage in agreeing to open a Maggie's 癌 care centre in London in February, just days after 存在 told 個人として that her husband was about to 直面する the fight of his life.

'No-one else but her knew then, aside from their doctors and those very closest to them, that he had 癌. How she held it together [at the Maggie's event], I do not know. That takes 大規模な strength of character,' my source 追加するs.

It is important to 強調する/ストレス that the King still has a long 旅行 ahead, にもかかわらず the 最新の news from the palace.

Anyone who has been touched by the blight of 癌, either 本人自身で or through a loved one, knows there are often 予測できない 新たな展開s and turns on the road to 回復.

But serious illness also brings you closer together and a new 評価 of what 事柄s most in life.

What we see here, first and 真っ先の, is a man who knows that whatever lies around the corner, he will 直面する it with the love of his life at his 味方する - and is happy for the world to know it too.
