Staff 供給する commentary from time to time as the train clatters along. The line we are on, we learn, was laid in the 1880s to connect Denver and Salt Lake City.
At one point, we are crossing the 大陸の Divide, where water either runs off eastwards into Florida’s 湾 or 西方のs to the 太平洋の Ocean.

On occasion, we move into sidings to 許す Amtrak’s California Zephyr service to pass.

The 最高の，を越す 速度(を上げる） is 60mph, though the 普通の／平均（する） is 35mph. After our night out in Glenwood Springs ? with modern-day cowboys in old-style taverns and steaming hot springs (hence its 指名する) ? we putter on the next morning through more marvellous ravines.
