The mummy's boys with a violent streak (or how living at home 'makes men brawl more')
They are often 見解(をとる)d as mummy's boys who lead a pampered 存在 にもかかわらず 存在 井戸/弁護士席 into their 20s.
But young men who still
live at home often have a darker 味方する and 定期的に get into fights and brawls, a 熟考する/考慮する has 設立する.
While girls become いっそう少なく confrontational as they grow up, men 老年の 20 to 24 are just as violent as 十代の少年少女s? -? and those who live with their parents are the worst 違反者/犯罪者s.?
Dark 味方する: Mummy's boys who still live at home are more likely to get into fights and brawls - much like Dot Cotton's son Nick did on EastEnders
Scientists from Queen Mary, University of London, 熟考する/考慮するd the habits of more than 8,000 men and women 範囲ing in age from 十代の少年少女s to their seventies.
Only 4.3 per cent were male 'kidults'? -? men in their 早期に 20s who had yet to leave home? -? but they were 伴う/関わるd in more than 20 per cent of 強襲,強姦s in which someone got 負傷させるd.
The 研究員s said that these young men have little 責任/義務 or independence.
With a 欠如(する) of chores to do and no mortgage to 支払う/賃金, they have more time on their 手渡すs and money to 燃やす than others their age, によれば the 熟考する/考慮する which was part-基金d by the Department of Health.
Professor Jeremy Coid, who helped carry out the 研究, said the 無(不)能 of these young men to grow up
was placing the health and 司法(官) systems under 重要な 圧力.
He wrote in the 定期刊行物 Social Psychiatry and Psychiatric Epidemiology: 'Young adult men living at home in Britain are no longer 影響(力)d by parents to 適合する to 基準s of behaviour 推定する/予想するd of previous 世代s.
'暴力/激しさ outside of the home and 伴う/関わるing strangers can be construed as one の中で a 一連の hedonistic and 消極的な social behaviours? -? 含むing 危険な drinking, 麻薬 misuse, 性の 危険-taking and 非,不,無-violent anti-social behaviour? -? 展示(する)d by a subgroup without 責任/義務s of 供給するing their accommodation, supporting 扶養家族 children, or ameliorating 影響s on their behaviour of living with a 女性(の) partner.'
He 追加するd: 'によれば our findings, a subgroup of young men who should be 的d in 未来 public health 介入s are those who continue to live in the parental home instead of living 独立して.'
The problems associated with 'kidults' do not end there, with parents of grown-up children who 辞退する to 飛行機で行く the nest 直面するing 財政上の hardship.
専門家s have 警告するd that middle-老年の parents are often unprepared for the continuing drain on their 資源s.
Last year, 研究員s calculated that parents spend an 普通の/平均(する) of £21,540 per child supporting their offspring through adult life, 沈下するing weddings, first homes, cars and holidays.
公式の/役人 人物/姿/数字s show that 29 per cent of men and 18 per cent of women 老年の between 20 and 34 live with their parents.
