'Glaciergate' UN scientist repeats 警告s of Himalayan melting

The discredited 長，率いる of the international 科学の 団体／死体 on 気候 change today repeated his （人命などを）奪う，主張する that the Himalayan glaciers were ‘undoubtedly’ melting.

Today he said the （人命などを）奪う，主張する was an error that had been 訂正するd, but said the general picture in the fourth 査定／評価 報告（する）／憶測 - that glaciers were 退却／保養地ing - w as 権利.

‘We 明確に based our 見積（る）s on 測定s that 存在する, which are a pretty 代表者／国会議員 見本 of what's happening.

‘But that doesn't give you the 完全にする picture, it gives you a depiction of what is happening, and therefore it was perfectly valid of us to say that 逮捕する melting was taking place,’ he said.

‘The findings we （機の）カム up with in general, which are also 世界的な, were very （疑いを）晴らす there's a 逮捕する melting of the glaciers taking place.’

His comments come as the Nepal-based International Centre for 統合するd Mountain Developmen t published three 報告（する）／憶測s 含むing one that 地図／計画するs for the first time the number and cover of glaciers in the 地域, 供給するing a baseline for 未来 研究.

The handful of stu dies show the glaciers are 退却／保養地ing.

Dr Pachauri said that while only a few 熟考する／考慮するs of glaciers had been published in peer-reviewed science 定期刊行物s, there was a large 量 of raw data, which he had seen, which gave 類似の 結論s.

Asked if the Himalayan glaciers were melting and 退却／保養地ing, he said: ‘Undoubtedly. As to that, there's no 疑問 at all.’

But he said there was not enough （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） about what was happening to the glaciers, or the different 影響s on them in さまざまな 場所s, making new 熟考する／考慮するs important.

Patchy's reiteration of glacial melt in the Himalayas follows an 告示 at the American Geophysical Union that glaciers in the French アルプス山脈 have shrunk by a ４半期/4分の1 in the past 40 years.

They covered 375 sq km in the 1960s and 早期に 1970s, but this 人物／姿／数字 now stands at 275 sq km.
