Frankenstein-style HEAD 移植(する)s could soon be a reality, (人命などを)奪う,主張するs 主要な 外科医

  • Dr Sergio Canavero says we now have the 科学(工学)技術 to 取って代わる one person's 長,率いる with another by reconnecting spinal cords
  • The 手続き 伴う/関わるs the same methods used to 首尾よく 移植(する) the 長,率いる of a monkey
  • It would take 100 外科医s three days to 成し遂げる the 操作/手術, he says
  • 'Several human 病気s without cure might 利益 from it,' he says

It has until now been the work of science fiction and horror films, but scientists could soon be carrying out 完全にする human 長,率いる 移植(する)s, a 主要な 外科医 has said.

The 手続き has 以前 been 成し遂げるd on monkeys but 最近の 科学技術の 打開s that make it possible to reconnect spinal cords could see the 操作/手術 carried out on humans.

Neurosurgeon Dr Sergio Canavero, from the Turin 前進するd Neuromodulation Group, believes the 操作/手術 would take 100 外科医s up to 36 hours and would cost £8.5million.

An Italian neurosurgeon believes doctors now have the 科学(工学)技術 to 移植(する) human 長,率いるs. The 手続き, which has 以前 been 成し遂げるd on monkeys, could be used to 取って代わる one human 長,率いる with another 予定 to 最近の 進歩s in 独房 and 神経 研究 that make it possible to reconnect spinal cords

HOW WOULD THE OPERATION WORK?

The 長,率いる to be 移植(する)d would be 冷静な/正味のd to between 12°C and 15°C.

外科医s would then have one hour to 除去する both 長,率いるs and reconnect the 移植(する) 長,率いる to the circulatory system of the 寄贈者 団体/死体.

The spinal cord would be 削減(する) with a sharp scalpel and 'mechanically connected' to the other 団体/死体.

While the 長,率いる is reconnected, the 寄贈者 団体/死体 must be 冷気/寒がらせるd and put into total cardiac 逮捕(する).

The 寄贈者 団体/死体's heart could then be 再開するd once the 長,率いる was reconnected.

In 1970, American neurosurgeon Dr Robert White 首尾よく 移植(する)d the 長,率いる of rhesus monkey の上に the 団体/死体 of another.

Then in 2001, doctors in the U.S carried out a 類似の 操作/手術.

The monkey was able to smell, open its 注目する,もくろむs and taste food yet because White couldn't reconnect the animal's spinal cord, it was left paralysed and died hours after 外科.?

More 最近の 進歩s in 独房 and 神経 研究 could make reconnecting spinal cords possible and Canavero believes this means there is no longer a 障壁 when it comes to 移植(する)ing human 長,率いるs.

In a paper, published by Surgical Neurology International, Canavero said: 'The 広大な/多数の/重要な st technical 障害物 to cephalosomatic 結合,連鎖 [長,率いる 移植(する)] is of course the reconnection of the 寄贈者’s and 受取人s spinal cords.

'It is my 論争 that the 科学(工学)技術 only now 存在するs for such 結合,連鎖.'?

He 追加するs that the 手続き would be 類似の to that used in previous 実験s.

Both parties would be put to sleep.

The 操作/手術 would have to be carried out within this time because an hour is the longest a human brain can survi ve without a 安定した flow of 血 and oxygen.

Canavero explains in his paper that the spinal cord would have to be 削減(する) with a sharp scalpel and would need to be 'mechanically connected' to the other 団体/死体.

In his paper, Canavero 提案するs cutting spinal cords with an 極端に sharp knife, then mechanically connecting the spinal cord from one 長,率いる to another 団体/死体.

He said: 'It is this 'clean 削減(する)' [which is] the 重要な to spinal cord fusion, in that it 許すs proximally 厳しいd axons to be ‘fused’ with their distal 相当するものs.

A 長,率いる to 団体/死体 spinal 関係 hasn't been 試みる/企てるd yet, but Canavero 特記する/引用するs previous 熟考する/考慮するs where scientists have reconnected a spinal cord to a ネズミ.
