Search for the world's 'loneliest 鯨': 専門家s want to tag creature who has been singing to himself for 20 years

For 20 years he has sung out plaintively in search of a friend, without getting any reply.

Now an 探検隊／遠征隊 is 存在 planned to find and 熟考する／考慮する the world’s loneliest 鯨, who is 簡単に known as 52.

The unknown male 鯨 is called 'lonely' because he appears to communicate at a frequency not used by any other 鯨 in the North 太平洋の, and so far, it is not thought to have ever got a 返答 to his songs.

Possible partners may not be able to hear him, or his song may be so different from their own that they can’t understand it, but this has not stopped 52 singing into oblivion.

専門家s believe the 抱擁する 哺乳動物 is most likely a fin 鯨, but he could be a blue 鯨, or a hybrid of the two 種類.

As Dr Watkins sadly died from 癌 before his 研究 逮捕（する）d the imagination of the public, his 研究 assistant Mary-Ann Daher has carried on his 科学の 遺産／遺物.

She said that the team has never seen the 鯨 they have been 熟考する／考慮するing and do not know what 種類 it is.

They do not know if it is medically unusual but she said it is 明白に healthy as it has been living for at least two １０年間s.
