Sleighing world 記録,記録的な/記録するs is snow joke: 'Fastest sledge on Earth' with a 最高の,を越す 速度(を上げる) of 155mph will take to the slopes next year

  • The sledge has just been 実験(する)d in Toyota's 勝利,勝つd tunnel 施設 in Germany
  • The 現在の 記録,記録的な/記録する is at 83.49 mph (134.36km/h) 始める,決める by Guy ツバメ in 2014
  • The Snowspeed team is hoping to reach a 速度(を上げる) of 155mph (250km/h)

Forget the days you spent hurtling 負かす/撃墜する 雪の降る,雪の多い hills as a child, a new superfast sledge is 存在 designed that will take high-速度(を上げる) sledging to a whole new level.

The 炭素 fibre sledge is 存在 designed by Snowspeed, a team of designers and 速度(を上げる) 熱中している人s from Norway.

The engineers have developed a 原型 and are gearing up for an 試みる/企てる to break the world 記録,記録的な/記録する in a gravity-力/強力にするd snow sledge in 2017.?

The 現在の 記録,記録的な/記録する is held by the motorcycle racer and British television personality Guy ツバメ, who 操縦するd a sledge at 83.49mph (134.36km/h) in 2014.

To 始める,決める the 記録,記録的な/記録する, Guy hurtled 負かす/撃墜する a 984ft (300 metre) run 含むing a 360ft (110 metre) 減少(する).

'速度(を上げる) スキーヤーs already 越える 250km/h,' said Jorn Madslien, member of the Snowspeed team.

'The 現在の 速度(を上げる) skiing 記録,記録的な/記録する is held by Simone Origone, who reached 252.45 km/h (157 mph) in 2014.?

'Our sledge will be heavier and more aerodynamic than a スキーヤー, so we believe we can go even faster.'

The current record for a gravity powered sledge is held by Guy Martin. He piloted a sledge at 83.49 mph (134.36km/h) in 2014. The Snowspeed team is hoping to beat this record by reaching an incredible speed of 155 mph (250km/h). To set the record, Guy took on a 984ft (300m) run with a 360ft (110m) drop

The Snowspeed sledge was designed by Oslo-based designers Nima Shahinian and Anders Aannestad.

The team has built three 原型s so far.

'The first 原型 was a 十分な size model based on our 3D computer design work,' said Nima Shahinian, 長,率いる of design at HOOS Design Lab in Oslo.

'The second was a 25 per cent 規模 clay model. This model, the third 原型, was created 特に to be 実験(する)d in the 勝利,勝つd tunnel.'

The sledge has been 実験(する)d by Toyota Motorsport GmbH (TMG) at its high-業績/成果 実験(する)ing and 開発 施設 in Germany.

In the same 場所, TMG develops the TS050 Hybrid race car which will lead its 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金 in the World Endurance 選手権 this year.

The Snowspeed team has designed and built a 50 per cent 規模 model, which they 実験(する)d in the TMG 勝利,勝つd tunnel, using the same 器具/備品 that is used to 実験(する) road and race cars.

'We are more used to 実験(する)ing Le Mans or 決まり文句/製法 1 racing cars, so this was a new, exciting challenge for us,' said Antonio Pavesi, 長,率いる of the 勝利,勝つd tunnel at TMG.

'This is the first time we have had a model of a sledge here. The 必要物/必要条件s are やめる different, but we use the same 肉親,親類d of 器具/備品.'

'The 勝利,勝つd tunnel 実験(する)ing was incredible. I went in there to feel the 力/強力にする of the 勝利,勝つd at such high 速度(を上げる)s and it gave me a feeling of what it'll be like once we do it for real on snow - a bit scary, really,' Snowspeed team member Jorn Madslien told MailOnline.

The team has built three prototypes so far. 'The first prototype was a full size model based on our 3D computer design work,' said Nima Shahinian, head of design at HOOS Design Lab in Oslo

They 機動力のある the sledge to a strut and placed a continuous rolling road under the skis. The 勝利,勝つd was then turned on and 増加するd slowly, reaching 40m/s, to see how the sledge 反応するd to different 速度(を上げる)s.

The data gathered from these 実験(する)s will help the designers to tweak the design of the sledge, to maximise its 速度(を上げる) and make sure it can balance in turbulence and with strong oncoming 勝利,勝つd.

Data on the three movements - roll, pitch and yaw - was also 生成するd in TMG's 勝利,勝つd tunnel.

Rotation around the 前線-to-支援する axis is called roll, around the 味方する-to-味方する axis is called pitch, and around the vertical axis is called yaw.

This data helped the Snowspeed designers the best way to position the sledge on the skis. They covered the skis in Teflon to 減ずる 摩擦 against the rolling road that 回転/交替d beneath it.

'We learnt some important lessons from the 勝利,勝つd tunnel 実験(する)ing and we will now use the data to redesign the sledge to 改善する the 安定 of the 支援する end, to make sure it is 安全な,' Snowspeed designer Nima Shahinian told MailOnline.?

The team will 改善する the design その上の over the next few weeks and 目的(とする) to 完全にする the final sledge in the next few months, ready for an 試みる/企てる at the world 速度(を上げる) 記録,記録的な/記録する in 2017.?
