The Suffolk-based Centre for 環境, 漁業s and Aquaculture Science (Cefas) has been 監視するing North Sea fish 全住民s for 114 years.?

Its data shows that that UK squid numbers have 増加するd 劇的な over the past 35 years.

In 1984, Cefas 設立する squid at only 20 per cent of its 76 調査する 駅/配置するs in the North Sea, compared with 60 per cent in 2014.

'UK 消費者s enjoy eating やめる a 限られた/立憲的な 範囲 of seafood, but in the long 称する,呼ぶ/期間/用語 we will need to adapt our diets,'?said lead 研究員 Dr John Pinnegar.

With squid 全住民s ロケット/急騰するing, cod numbers tell a different story.

The fish have been slow to 回復する from 10年間s of over-fishing.

From a total biomass of 1.3 million tonnes in 1971, cod numbers fell to their lowest 記録,記録的な/記録するd level of 124,000 tonnes in 2004.

に引き続いて 強化するd fishing 管理/経営 last year, cod numbers have begun to 再定住させる, with biomass 増加するing to 295,000 tonnes last year.

Although this level is 維持できる, scientists believe the slow 回復 is because 最近の 気温 引き上げ(る)s in North Sea waters have 攻撃する,衝突する cod reproduction.
