I'm struggling to 攻撃する,衝突する a tight 最終期限 to turn six 年金s into a £17,500-a-year annuity: STEVE WEBB replies

Deadline: I need to turn six pensions into an annuity quickly to get the best rate quoted

最終期限: I need to turn six 年金s into an annuity quickly to get the best 率 引用するd

その上の to brain illness last autumn I left work in February as after three months 支援する was finding it too tiring, and at 57 I am 突然に trying to buy an annuity through an annuity 仲買人 会社/堅い.

I received a best 引用する of £17,500 a year with Aviva with an annuity 率 保証(人)d for a month.

I have six 年金s needing to be brought together from four providers. Two are already with Aviva.

However, one provider gave me two weeks' notice of a 年金 壇・綱領・公約 change which 要求するd a period when no 移転s could be made.

The period ends three days before the Aviva 保証(人) on the 引用する ends. If 移転s are not made before that its 現在の 率 will 適用する, which is だいたい £1,200 a year いっそう少なく than the 初めの 引用する.

Another provider also seems to say its 年金 移転 will be six to eight weeks anyway.

Is there something wrong with the whole 過程 as surely it is ありそうもない annuity 仲買人 best 引用するs are ever 達成するd? Of course, in theory this could also work 前向きに/確かに but doesn’t seem so for myself.

If I choose to 取り消す money gets sent 支援する to the 初めの companies and I seem 支援する at square one, and I am 現在/一般に living off 貯金 so see the only 選択 is to continue.

I didn’t use 年金 Wise as it took six weeks for an 任命.

I prefer to have an RPI インフレーション-保護するd annuity, rather put my 年金s in an 投資 drawdown 計画(する).

However, I will need to see how viable my final annuity income is 連合させるd with 貯金 until 明言する/公表する 年金 age at 67, or consider some part-time 職業.

Steve Webb replies: I was sorry to read that you have been in poor health and want to sort out your 退職 財政/金融s as quickly as possible.

I would encourage everyone to use the 政府’s 解放する/自由な 年金 Wise service when considering their 選択s, not least because 決定/判定勝ち(する)s such as buying an annuity cannot be 逆転するd if you change your mind.

I do however understand that your personal circumstances made it difficult to wait for an 任命.

When a 年金 company 供給するs you with a 引用する for an income for life ? an annuity ? it is normal for that 引用する to have an ex piry date. But I understand your point that the 引用する needs to last long enough to be able to get the money transferred across.

I 接触するd Aviva, which gave you your 初期の time-限られた/立憲的な 申し込む/申し出, and they said:

'Our 現在の position is to 保証(人) illustrations for up to 40 calendar days from the date the annuity quotation is produced (not the four weeks について言及するd).

'Where we receive 顧客’s 年金 マリファナs within those 40 days they are する権利を与えるd to the annuity 率s they were 引用するd. This is in line with our competitors and general market practice.

'The 推論する/理由 is that we have to use a number of factors to 決定する annuity 率s, in particular market 条件s from long 称する,呼ぶ/期間/用語 産する/生じるs.

‘These 条件s can change 速く and we want our annuity 率s to 反映する the 最新の 条件s.

'We are 保証(人)ing an income for life, that can often last for 25 ? 30 years, so we want to be 確信して that we can 供給する that income for our 顧客s over a long period of time.

'反映するing the 最新の market 条件s 許すs us to 供給する certainty to 顧客s and 確実にする they get the fairest 率 based on the 条件s when they take out the annuity.'

With regard to the time taken to 移転, such time 限界s on the 有効性,効力 of an annuity 引用する should not be a problem in most 事例/患者s.

The 推論する/理由 for this is that most 基金s are transferred from your 年金 provider to the annuity provider using an online service 供給するd by a company called Origo.

The idea is that Origo enables 年金 and annuity providers to 交流 (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状) securely and helps to 減少(する) the time it takes to 移転 年金 基金s to other providers.

When the annuity provider receives an 使用/適用, it makes 接触する with Origo which passes this on to your 現在の 年金 provider, which 得るs the necessary 詳細(に述べる)s and 過程s the 移転.

Where 年金 providers are part of this 網状組織, the 産業 基準 turnaround time is a 最大限 of 14 calendar days.

It would be fair to say however that 年金 移転s are not always this swift. Where individuals 請け負う the 移転s themselves I often hear of 延期するs in getting money moved.

This is one 推論する/理由 to make sure that ? wherever possible ? any planned 年金 consolidation is done in good time rather than at the last minute and with the clock ticking on an annuity 引用する.

Alternatively, you can go to the annuity provider and let them do the work of 強固にする/合併する/制圧するing your 年金s. Aviva, which 供給するd your 引用する, told me:

'顧客s are able to come to us and tell us they have 多重の 年金 マリファナs and we 連合させる these into one for 購入(する)ing an annuity.

'There are some special types of 年金s where we couldn’t 連合させる them together, but the 大多数 of 顧客s' 年金s we can 強固にする/合併する/制圧する for the 購入(する) of an annuity 政策.'

In your 事例/患者 there seems to have been a particular 問題/発行する with a 年金 provider putting in place a 封鎖する on 移転s just at the wrong time for you.

This can happen in the に引き続いて シナリオs.

- The 年金 provider is 請け負うing a major change to its computer systems, resulting in it needing to put a 凍結する on 処理/取引s.

This is perhaps a bit like your bank 説 that its online banking or app is out of service for a period while 維持/整備 or 昇格s are undertaken. 明白に the 延期する is more serious in your 事例/患者.

- いつかs a 年金 provider will 封鎖する 移転s because of a particular 問題/発行する with some of the underlying 投資s.

A 最近の example 関係のある to 確かな 所有物/資産/財産 基金s, when 騒動 in the 商業の 所有物/資産/財産 market made it hard to value such 資産s and meant that selling in haste could have resulted in large losses.

Such 基金s were いつかs ‘gated’, putting a pause on 処理/取引s, in some 事例/患者s for many months.

I agree with you that, wherever possible, savers should be given as much notice as possible of any 制限s on 接近 to their 基金s.

This is probably easier for a (推定では long-planned) IT 昇格 than when 制限s are needed in 返答 to sudden market volatility.

If you feel that this 年金 provider has behaved unreasonably, and you have lost out as a result, then you could complain.

If you do not get a 満足な 返答 you could then complain to the 財政上の Ombudsman Service or the 年金s Ombudsman if you feel that your provider has been 有罪の of ‘maladministration’.
