My friend's sausage dog ripped off a chunk of my cheek - it's 廃虚d my life and I can't go 支援する to work

A 選び出す/独身 mother whose cheek was 荒廃させるd by a friend's?pet dachshund has 認める that her 'life has been 廃虚d' and her self-esteem '絶対 destroyed' by the scars that she has been left with.?

Kelly Allen, 45, from Swansea, was enjoying a few drinks at a friend's house last month when their 'very friendly' dog underwent a sudden change in its demeanour and latched on to her 直面する.?

The dog 辞退するd to 緩和する its 支配する and had soon torn off and eaten a large chunk of her cheek, leaving Kelly with an open 負傷させる that 要求するd five and a half hours of plastic 外科 and more than 40 stiches.

The ordeal still haunts Kelly, who 定期的に wakes during the night crying and cannot 直面する returning to her work at a 接触する centre for the travel company Tui 予定 to the 外傷/ショック and physical 外見.

She now struggles to leave the house without 存在 …を伴ってd by one of her two sons ? Fletcher, 19, and Cooper, 18 ? and the £350 statutory sick 支払う/賃金 she is receiving each month is not enough to cover her 法案s and living costs.

To help her stay afloat, Kelly is depending on her family, and her sister Stacey, 43, has 開始する,打ち上げるd a fundraiser which has received more than £1,000 in 寄付s.

'I can't get out of bed and I've been crying in my sleep because I feel his teeth in me,' Kelly said.?

'I now have to buy 偽装する make-up for people who have facial disfigurements ? that's something I never thought I would have to do.

Another friend 急ぐd into the kitchen and grabbed the dog's collar, but its jaws were locked and would not let go.

恐れるing she would 'bleed to death', Kelly called a friend who had not been drinking with them and asked for a 解除する to 事故 and 緊急 at Morriston Hospital.

'They numbed the area and scrubbed the 負傷させる with what looked like a Brillo pad because of all the bacteria that's in dogs' mouths,' she said.

'They were leaning me over a 沈む and scrub, scrub, scrub, scrub, scrub… it was agony.

'They then 注ぐd water over me for five minutes, which felt like I was 存在 waterboarded. It was horrific.'

With her 負傷させる 包帯d, Kelly was told she could return home and wait for the plastic 外科 team to 接触する her.

At 7.50am, she received a phone call from the hospital telling her to 'come 支援する すぐに' as she needed to have 外科.

'I met with the plastics team who explained what they were going to do,' she said.

'My self-esteem has been 絶対 destroyed and I don't go out any more,' said Kelly.

'If it wasn't for my の近くに friends and family, I don't know where I would be now.

'I can't go to the shops any more, unless my son comes with me.

'I just don't live my life.'

While she has lost a lot in terms of confidence and self-esteem, Kelly remains grateful to the people who have helped her recover from the attack

'My 雇用者s have been amazing and r eally supportive,' she said.

'So I'm just in a really hard place at the moment.'

To help cover her 法案s, Kelly's sister has 開始する,打ち上げるd a fundraiser on GoFundMe which has already received more than £1,000 in 寄付s.

It transpired that this was not the first time the dog had attacked someone.

Kelly said she did not want to 伴う/関わる the police but they were called after staff at the hospital saw the severity of her 負傷させるs.

'I have since 設立する out that the dog had attacked other people,' she said.

'The people around me have been amazing.

'It's thanks to them that I'm still waking up every day at the moment.

'I don't think anyone should be on their own going through something like this.'
