No 事柄 how successful, adored and famous a pop 星/主役にする becomes, there will always be a grump in the corner moaning that they can't see what all the fuss is about.

Usually that grump is me, but not when it comes to Taylor Swift. I love Taylor's songs and her admirable, demented work ethic, which crested this month with the 解放(する) of two new albums ― The 拷問d Poets Department and The Anthology ― both written, 記録,記録的な/記録するd and made while she is in the middle of her 世界的な 時代s 小旅行する, 成し遂げるing on 行う/開催する/段階 for three straight hours at every show.

Who does that? No one. For no one else has her stamina and passion; it's as if Swift is caught in a febrile mania of creativity, unable to stop banging on about bad boys or anyone who's ever dissed her.

There are arty new ビデオs, beguiling new photographs, 31 new songs and many millions of newer 憶測s 焦点(を合わせる)ing on 正確に/まさに who her songs are about.

But not everyone is happy. And I have a few 疑問s myself. For how many songs about break-ups and boyfriends can a Swiftie take?

And please, Taylor is 34 years old, surely too old to be '負かす/撃墜する bad crying at the gym'.

And what's with all the 断言するing and f-爆弾s in her new lyrics? The teenage girl who once sweetly sang 'you be the prince and I'll be the princess' is long gone.

Hello Mr マリファナ, 行方不明になる Kettle calling! That is a bit rich, considering it is いつかs hard to differentiate between a Pet Shop Boys 跡をつける and the 肉親,親類d of muzak you hear in a 解除する. Has he never listened to Betty or All Too 井戸/弁護士席 or Mean or シャンペン酒 Problems? All 劇的な different.

The 69-year-old was even sniffy about Swift's 申し立てられた/疑わしい romantic inspirations. 'To have a successful pop career now you have to have a 一連の 関係s which are amazing and then break up tragically,' he said, 追加するing: 'I wonder what the other half of the 関係 feels about this.'

Now there is 憶測 that much of 拷問d Poets has been written about him. Can this man-難破させる really be the inspiration for a beautiful song like Fortnight? He seems unworthy of this 広大な/多数の/重要な, glittering pop queen.

Swift is never given enough 尊敬(する)・点 for her art ― because every song is not always a page torn straight from her diary. There must be room for imagination, creativity and 見通し, too.

Healy said he doesn't mind 存在 written about, but the Swift (激しい)反発 seems to have begun with or without his blessing.

The reviews for the new album have been mixed, with many calling it a 'misstep'. The New York Times decided the '主題s and familiar sonic 背景s 生成する 減らすing returns', while the NME called it 'cringeworthy'.

Rolling 石/投石する was keener, giving 拷問d Poets 'instant classic' status and 述べるing Swift's new 作品 as 'gloriously 大混乱/混沌とした'.

As I ear-crunched through song after new song about 復讐 and good love gone bad; and 静かな 背信s and 粉々にするd psyches; and getting mad and getting even, I did wonder for a moment: is Taylor Swift 完全に mad?

Certainly, a seam of emotional craziness runs through her new songs, a wild ache that can never be 満足させるd. Yet what makes her crazy is also what makes her special, and able to communicate with her fans in such a 深遠な way.

When I went to the 時代s 小旅行する in Los Angeles last year, it was to 証言,証人/目撃する 60,000 people taking part in an 爆発 of pure pop joy. Swift's new album was streamed more than 300 million times in a 選び出す/独身 day. And her 小旅行する, which comes to the UK this summer, is the first to 甚だしい/12ダース more than one billion dollars.

Misstep? It looks more like a high kick of 祝賀 from here.

The Time Earth Awards 祝祭 was held in New York on Wednesday, honouring those who have '押し進めるd for 気候 司法(官)'. Honestly, what a 負担 of old toot. It should give itself an award for 存在 the most fatuous awards 祝祭 known to man.?

The 奇蹟 was that Harry and Meghan weren't there to receive some spurious gong, because it's 正確に/まさに the 肉親,親類d of high-profile souffle of nonsense that they love.

However, Jane Fonda was there, 提起する/ポーズをとるing with her 21-year-old granddaughter, Viva Vadim. Jane is 86 now, but looks marvellous, if a little startled. Forget Meghan's jam, the award for best 保存する should go to Jane!

A Turner turn-off

The public is losing 利益/興味 in the Turner Prize ― and is it any wonder?

Last year's 勝利者 was Jessie Darling, a former 無断占拠者 and sex 労働者 whose sculptural 取り付け・設備 was a zombie apocalypse that 代表するd the downfall of Britain. Marvellous.

Part of the problem is that every year the shortlist for the prestigious visual arts prize appears to have been 収集するd with woke 信任状 rather than artistic 長所 in mind.

This year is no different, featuring as it does the art of Delaine Le Bas, which has its origins in her Romany traveller 遺産; Manila-born Pio Abad's work 焦点(を合わせる)s on the 複雑化s of 地位,任命する-植民地主義; Jasleen Kaur uses Irn Bru to 描写する her Punjabi Sikh しつけ in Glasgow; and Manchester-born Claudette Johnson, whose portraits 反映する her first-世代 British Caribbean background.

And Henry Fotherington 陳列する,発揮するs the landscapes he painted after taking up art at Eton. Only joking.

Where is compassion for Barnaby's grieving mum??

For those whose loved ones have been 殺人d, 司法(官) becomes incredibly important. Because 司法(官) and memories are all they have left.

Emma Webber has had to 耐える the unbearable, but her agony and her 追求(する),探索(する) for 司法(官) ― and dignity in death ― for her son, Barnaby, continues.

Along with his friend and fellow student Grace O'Malley-Kumar, Barnaby was 無作為に killed by a knife-(権力などを)行使するing maniac in Nottingham last summer.

The two 19-year-olds were stabbed to death by Valdo Calocane, a paranoid schizophrenic who'd stopped taking his prescription 麻薬s. Unmonitored and unmedicated, Calocane also 殺人d 管理人 Ian Coates, 65, and 試みる/企てるd to 殺人 three others.

It was bad enough for Emma ― and all the 犠牲者s' families ― when Calocane was 罪人/有罪を宣告するd of 過失致死 by 推論する/理由 of 減らすd 責任/義務 and 殺人未遂, then sent to a high-安全 hospital instead of 刑務所,拘置所.

In the 合間, Mrs Webber has had to を取り引きする the insensitivity and intransigence of Nottingham Police. She had been made aware of a WhatsApp group, where police officers had discussed her son's 殺人 in 残虐な 条件.

'A couple of students have been proper butchered,' was one message.

One understands that police officers いつかs use gallows humour to get them through some of the bleaker challenges of their 職業s, but you have to wonder ― have they learned nothing?

Emma Webber said the contents of the WhatsApp group were 'abhorrent' and 手配中の,お尋ね者 to 令状 a 私的な letter to those 伴う/関わるd, but Nottingham Police 辞退するd to 受託する it ― and now say it is '不適切な' to comment on the 事柄.

I'll tell you what is 不適切な ― 扱う/治療するing a (死が)奪い去るd mother in such a high-手渡すd, callous way. The police are there to 保護する the public, not themselves, and the 広大な 大多数 carry out this 仕事 with care and 技術. But when they get it wrong, they should own up to it 敏速に.
