The £150,000 13-ft bronze sculpture called 'The Don' is supposed to 代表する Prince Philip in his 役割 as 副／悪徳行為 （ドイツなどの）首相／（大学の）学長 of Cambridge University.
A plaque under the sculpture reads: 'HRH Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh, （ドイツなどの）首相／（大学の）学長 University of Cambridge 1977-2011.'
Yet Cambridge City 会議 have now 問題／発行するd an 施行 notice for the statue to be 除去するd as it doesn't have planning 許可 and has a 'harmful 構成要素 衝撃' on the 外見 of the area.
City planners 辞退するd 許可 for the statue to be 陳列する，発揮するd outside a new office 封鎖する on Hills Road in 2014, 述べるing it as the worst piece of public art they had ever seen.

Cambridge City 会議 public art officer Nadine 黒人／ボイコット said it was 'かもしれない the poorest 質 work that has ever been submitted to the 会議.'
She 追加するd: 'It is not 場所／位置-明確な／細部 and is a work already 購入（する）d and has no 関係 to this 場所／位置. It is too large a 規模 for the 状況 of the space it will be 位置を示すd within and will 妥協 the 質 of the new 開発.'
The statue was 初めは せいにするd to Uruguayan sculptor Pablo Atchugarry, but he later disowned the piece.
Atchugarry, who is an 国祭的な renowned sculptor, whose pieces have been sold at Christies and Sothebys in London, New York, Paris and Amsterdam, called the 告訴，告発 it was his work 'an 乱用.'
He said in 2014, 'I am not the author of this sculpture, and it is an 乱用 that they had used my 指名する. I wish somebody would apologise to me for this 誤解'.
法案 Gredley, the chairmen of Unex Group who developed the piece, staunchly defended the work in 2014 and 述べるd it as a 'みごたえのある piece of art.'

It said the sculpture must be 永久的に 除去するd along with its 創立／基礎s and plinth within four months from April 11, unless an 控訴，上告 is made beforehand.
The land must also be 回復するd to its former 条件 事前の to the sculpture's 取り付け・設備.
議員 Katie Thornburrow said nobody 'seems to have a good word to say about it' and she will 'be glad to see it gone.'
Mr Atchugarry told MailOnline: 'The artwork ''The Do n'' is not of my authorship.'
