The image is one of the most 逮捕（する）ing of the season. The date is March 2 and Darwin Nunez has just 得点する／非難する／２０d for Liverpool in the ninth minute of 停止 time, to 安全な・保証する a 議論の的になる 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest.

Yet again, Forest feel wronged by a 決定的な 審判（をする）ing 決定／判定勝ち（する） moments earlier and not long after the final whistle sounds, players and staff march に向かって the 公式の／役人s, boiling with 激怒（する）.

Forest coach Steven Reid turns the 空気／公表する blue and is subsequently banned from the touchline for his tirade at 審判（をする） Paul Tierney. There are boos and catcalls. まっただ中に it all, owner Evangelos Marinakis stands alone on the touchline, a 熟考する／考慮する in brooding 怒り／怒る.

Yes, Marinakis, 56, can be a ferocious, unforgiving boss. If he does not like something, he will tell you straight and whoever you are ― player, 経営者／支配人, director ― you had better be ready to take it on the chin.

He has transformed the port of Piraeus, south-west of Athens, since the Greek 経済的な 危機, put himself at the heart of the fight against 人種差別主義 and 差別 in football and is behind a 事業／計画（する） to encourage greater 参加 in sport across Nottinghamshire ― an 率先 支援するd by 総理大臣 Rishi Sunak.

Marinakis’s main source of income is not football, but タンカー shipping, and his company is at the 最前部 of the green 燃料 革命 in that 産業. He has even ― believe it or not ― turned his 手渡す to song-令状ing, composing lyrics for Greek singer Natasa Theodoridou.

So who is the real Marinakis? And why does he seem to think the world ― or 特に, 首相 League officialdom ― is against him?

‘There is a culture around Greek football 完全に distrustful of the FA and officiating,’ explains Ari Bouloubassis, one of the 創立者s of Gate 7 Internation al. ‘It’s not a Marinakis thing. It’s a Greek thing. The culture around Greek football is much more 有毒な than in the UK. There is a history of 告訴，告発s of 汚職 everywhere.

Topics that would certainly break the ice if Marinakis were ever to raise them during coffee break at a 首相 League 株主s’ 会合.

Marinakis is undoubtedly 利益／興味ing company. During the winter break for the 2022 World Cup, Forest travelled to Athens for warm-天候 training, using Olympiacos’ base. At one of the country’s best restaurants on the Piraeus coastline, Marinakis put on a sumptuous seafood dinner for the travelling party and, as the ship lights twinkled in the bay, the owner made sure he spent time at every （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する.

His son, Miltiadis, is hugely 影響力のある at Forest, while director of football Kyriakos Dourekas has been at Marinakis’s 味方する for three １０年間s. They are joined in his inner circle by co-owner Sokratis Kominakis and Christian Karembeu, a World Cup 勝利者 with フラン in 1998 and an Olympiacos 広大な／多数の／重要な.
