New switching 支配するs should mean small 商売/仕事s can 捕らえる、獲得する a better bank, but are they 存在 sidelined?

Much has been made of new switching 支配するs and how they will 衝撃 individual 経常収支 支えるもの/所有者s. But, although small 商売/仕事s also stand to 利益 - in theory to the same extent - 関心s have been raised that they are 存在 sidelined by banks who are いっそう少なく keen to 誘惑する them in with tempting 取引,協定s.

From 16 September, 33 bank and building societies brands - accounting for '事実上 100 per cent' of the 経常収支 marketplace, によれば the 支払い(額)s 会議 - will 配達する the new service so that individuals, small charities and small 商売/仕事s can change their bank with いっそう少なく fuss.

The 支配するs mean anyone will be able to switch to another provider, transferring all direct debits and standing orders, in just a week - rather than the 30 days it 現在/一般に takes.

Gloomy: The outlook for small business banking is unlikely to change

暗い/優うつな: The 見通し for small 商売/仕事 banking is ありそうもない to change

But, although banks have been clamoring to introduce the best introductory 昇進/宣伝s and sweeteners to attract individuals, by and large they have stayed silent on the 支配する of new small 商売/仕事 offerings.

As 物陰/風下 Tillcock, of Moneyfacts, points out: 'Whilst the new 支配するs will 適用する to some small 商売/仕事s (商売/仕事s with an 年次の turnover and/or balance sheet total below ?2million - or 英貨の/純銀の 同等(の) - and より小数の than ten 従業員s), we have not seen any 普及した changes to accounts thus far.'

?

'SMALL BUSINESS BANKING NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED SEPARATELY'

によれば Jonathan Withers, director of banking at Comarch UK, the switching service has thrown the 緊急の need for 献身的な 商売/仕事 banking 政策 into the limelight.

'The Switch Service bundles SMEs in with 小売 banking 顧客s almost as an afterthought.

'While it is encouraging that SMEs will be able to take advantage of a swift and 保証(人)d account switching service, SMEs and personal bank 顧客s have separate and 際立った 必要物/必要条件s.?

'This 燃料s on-going 関心s that the banking 産業 does not give the SME 部門 the 予定 care and attention it deserves.

'Banks need to 供給する a tailored approach to 商売/仕事 banking and not just rebadge 消費者 services for SMEs. At the heart of this approach should be a かかわり合い to 供給するing innovative 数字表示式の services that 会合,会う the 明確な/細部 needs of 商売/仕事 顧客s, both large and small, 許すing them to 簡素化する 過程s and 減ずる costs. 失敗 to do so will see banks losing their 支配する on the market.'

Although most of the bigger banks 申し込む/申し出 商売/仕事 accounts, nearly all come with 月毎の 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金s.

In fact, HSBC recently 発表するd it is to 増加する its 月毎の 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金s for 700,000 small 商売/仕事 顧客s, with many losing their 解放する/自由な banking service.

But, にもかかわらず the 欠如(する) of new 選択s, it is hoped that new switching 支配するs will encourage small 商売/仕事s to look どこかよそで if they are unhappy with their 現在の provider - something only a small 百分率 are 現在/一般に doing.

Tillock 追加するd: 'Choosing the 権利 account that 申し込む/申し出s a 商売/仕事 the 権利 levels of support and 利益s is 決定的な for a small organisation.

'ーに関して/ーの点でs of 製品s, small 商売/仕事s have a 確かな 量 of choice that the new switching 支配するs may 最高潮の場面. The question is will 商売/仕事s find the time or the inclination to make use of them. Without a 固める/コンクリートd 成果/努力 from providers, I am afraid I 疑問 it.'

示す Moore, director of SME advice service Ingenious Britain, agreed and 追加するd most will take the 'better the devil you know' approach.

He said: 'Small 商売/仕事s don't want the 激変 of having to change banks every few weeks or months if they don't feel they are getting the service and support their 商売/仕事 needs. They will be 関心d that this hassle-解放する/自由な switch will be a hassle, 特に if they can't be 納得させるd in their own minds that what they will be switching to will be any better.

'I 嫌疑者,容疑者/疑う that most small 商売/仕事s will stick with their 存在するing provider unless there is a 説得力のある 推論する/理由 for changing, but banks shouldn't be complacent if this is the 事例/患者. It shouldn't be read as a 信任投票 more an 表現 of exasperation.'

Myths of switching

A worrying number of people are put off by myths about the dangers of switching their 経常収支.

For example, some believe that sticking with their bank through 厚い and thin will give them better 条件 when they come to 適用する for a 貸付金 or another 取引,協定. But, while 忠義 may have helped your mortgage 使用/適用 in the past, it’s no longer the 事例/患者.

Others think by moving banks they will lose out on their overdraft. But, if your overdraft is £1,000 or le ss, or you 下落する only occasionally into your overdraft for 緊急s, you’ll probably find most banks or building societies are willing to match your old account’s 施設s to get you on board.
