Dame Deborah James's father has said she would tell him to 'knock some 長,率いるs together' as her family 勧める all UK 政党s to commit to a long-称する,呼ぶ/期間/用語 ?戦略.

Dame Deborah died in June 2022 at the age of 40, five years after she was 診断するd with bowel 癌.

She used her diagnosis to raise 認識/意識性 of the 病気 and 始める,決める up the Bowelbabe 基金 for 癌 研究 UK, which has raised more than £12 million.

Her family have now written an open letter 勧めるing all UK 政党s to commit to a 戦略 'to give more people 影響する/感情d by 癌 more time with the people they love'.

Her father Alistair James told BBC 無線で通信する 4's Today programme: 'I think this 現在の 戦略 of 早期に diagnosis saves lives and Deborah would be 説 "Dad, it makes ありふれた sense. Just knock some 長,率いるs together and see if we get everybody に引き続いて it and working for it".'

In a letter published in The Sun newspaper, Dame Deborah's husband Sebastien Bowen, her parents Alistair and Heather James and her siblings Ben James and Sarah Wieczorek said they are joining 癌 研究 UK in its Longer, Better Lives manifesto.

The manifesto calls for the 政府 to publish a long-称する,呼ぶ/期間/用語 癌 戦略 within one year of the 総選挙, to '運動 earlier diagnosis and 減ずる 不平等s in 接近 to 治療 and care'.

'That is why we are calling on all 政党s to make the 近づいている 総選挙 a 目印 moment by committing to a long-称する,呼ぶ/期間/用語 癌 戦略 for England, helping to give more people 影響する/感情d by 癌 more time with the people they love,' the letter sai d.

'Sadly, we are not unique as a family in losing a loved one too soon to 癌.

'Many families across the country feel the same heartbreak every day. But it does not have to be this way.

'People 影響する/感情d by 癌 must be at the heart of this 総選挙.'

Mr James told Today the family 約束d Dame Deborah they would continue to (選挙などの)運動をする after her death.

He said: 'Her (選挙などの)運動をするing, her enthusiasm was so important in getting a message across.

'We're talking about our eldest child, which brings 支援する many painful memories, but also many happy memories. WHAT IS BOWEL CANCER?
