Adidas and Team GB (left) have chose to stick with the 伝統的な union jack on their 道具s for the Paris 2024 olympics. This follows 論争 around Nike's England 道具 for the 2024 Euros in Germany which featured a redesigned England 旗?

Fortunately, the Team GB 道具 for?Paris 2024 are on a white base and has the 基準 union 旗 on the arm.

The design is 述べるd as 'grounded in 簡単' and 'builds around the classic British red, white and blue'.

It features 'white lion 長,率いる graphics' and is designed so the red and white elements pop against the blue.

?Jacqueline King, Design Director, Specialist Sports, adidas said about the newly-開始する,打ち上げるd 道具: 'Our belief is that there is no greater demonstration of what it means to design for an 競技者, than a tournament that showcases the breadth and variety of sport.?

'と一緒に the goal of supporting the 競技者 to 成し遂げる at their best when the 圧力 builds, these collections 捜し出す to connect them to their home nations, 経由で designs 奮起させるd by their individual 国家の 身元s.

'These elements are brought together in a 道具 which is grounded in 簡単 ? resulting in a sleek, modern collection.'

Whitbread, who won two Olympic メダルs in the javelin, told GB News at the time: 'I'm 絶対 disgusted to think they've done it. It 代表するs our late Queen. It 代表するs everything that embraces what's good about our country as years have gone by.

'I feel 堅固に about that. No way should they have just gone ahead and changed the country's 象徴的な colours. It is about 国家の pride and まとまり.

'Red, white, and blue, it has been that for 223 years, so why change it? Why is there a need to change it just because of other countries?

'Our forefathers went to war for us and fought for all the different things that we stand for now, that shouldn't just be wiped out either. A Union Jack is what it's all about for me - and it should be for those younger ones.'

However, sources 主張する the Adidas Olympic 道具 is ありそうもない to 誘発する その上の 論争, unlike the London 2012 sportswear, when designer Stella McCartney took out the red in a deconstructed Union 旗.

Explaining the 概念 at the time, Thisaway said: '明白に red, white and blue is synonymous with 広大な/多数の/重要な Britain, but it's far from unique, with other competing nations such as フラン and USA also 冒険的な the same colours.

'We needed to find a way of refreshing Team GB's colour palette in a way that is both 柔軟な and ownable.

'Rather than trying to look beyond the 伝統的な colours, we decided to embrace them and 押し進める the iconic red white and blue as far as we could.

'The result is a vibrant and 変化させるd colour palette that has the versatility to be 抑制するd and 伝統的な in one breath, and bold and 同時代の in the next.'
