A mum told how she 設立する a new 始める，決める of wings travelling the world for work after 存在 奮起させるd by her British 航空路s?cabin-乗組員 daughter to join the 階級s.

Christine Barnes, 66, said 'the world opened up to me' as soon as she stepped into the 役割 支援する in 2011.

Now, she 長，率いるs a team of 22 乗組員 members as an inflight 経営者／支配人 onboard the Airbus A380 and has 'lost count' of how many countries she has visited - with Saudi Arabia next on her bucket 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）.

Her lightbulb moment to change career （機の）カム when she …を伴ってd her daughter Sophie, 36, on a work trip and saw how much she was enjoying the 役割.

'I loved the professionalism and the camaraderie of the 乗組員,' she said.?'I felt that I needed to be part of this lifestyle and I was looking for a new challenge.'

Sophie, now a BA 顧客 service trainer who いつかs 飛行機で行くs as an inflight 経営者／支配人, encouraged her mum to 適用する for the 職業 - 納得させるd that Christine could bring 技術s from her previous career as a salon owner and hairdresser.

Although the training was 'a challenge', Christine said the 職業 has been amazing so far and she has no 計画（する）s to stop any time soon.

'Some of our family were very surprised when I decided on a career change at a time when most people my age were winding 負かす／撃墜する and thinking about retiring,' she said.?

'I couldn’t believe the places I was going to on a 週刊誌 basis - and the experiences I have 株d with other 乗組員, most of whom who are still friends.'

Seven years into the 役割, Sophie moved from Gatwick Airport to Heathrow, where her mum is also based.

The pair then worked on their first - and only - flight together, to Philadelphia, U.S.

Christine said it was 広大な／多数の／重要な showing her daughter the ropes onboard the 航空機 and visiting Philadelphia's Rocky Steps together during the layover.

In the style of the BBC show 'The 反逆者s', where contestants often have to 隠す their true 身元, they decided not to tell their fellow 乗組員 that they were 関係のある until they had touched 負かす／撃墜する in the U.S.

'It was very strange to pretend that we didn't know each other,' Sophie said.?

'Once the 乗組員 設立する out, they were surprised but could see the similarities.'

The pair are now known by 乗組員 as 'Sophie's Mum' and 'Christine's Daughter' and said they would love for all of their family to experience the 'amazing lifestyle'.

Other funny moments 含む the time Sophie jumped on a flight to Vienna and surprised her mum at the 搭乗 door.

'She had no idea I was joining her on the flight,' she said.

'It was so funny to see her so 混乱させるd as to why I was there. I wish I could have 逮捕（する）d it.'?

Christine?said she hasn't experienced as many challenges as she thought she would, having changed career 老年の 55.

'I am healthy for my age, and I think to be 乗組員 you must be resilient,' she said.

In fact, she has 設立する that becoming 乗組員 later in life has helped her with adapting to the 役割 and 存在 a good 経営者／支配人.

'I find that I don’t get homesick while I'm away but I do look 今後 to getting home after a trip,' she said.

'I often feel like a mother at work and find that I can draw upon the experiences of bringing up three children in my 役割 as a 経営者／支配人. It is important as a 経営者／支配人 and to listen and care for my team.'

'It’s never too late to start a new career or try and do something different,' she said.
